U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., and a Waterloo, Iowa, native, will visit Iowa later this month to discuss, among other things, a 2012 run for president.
Her visit is not a declaration of candidacy, but "nothing is off the table," according to spokesman Doug Sachtleben.
Bachmann, elected in 2006, has become a darling of the tea party movement as well as fiscal and social conservatives for her conservative viewpoints and frequent criticism of President Barack Obama. Her frequent appearances on cable and network news shows have given the 54-year-old Republican a national following.

hey, pissant - you really really don’t like women it seems. No Sarah and now no Bachmann? hmmm...
Uh, you might want to read a bit more carefully.
Well GW Bush had executive experience.
I read all Sarah post - you are well known for your PDS..one can be a coincidence - 2 is not
When Sarah speaks...
She might be better suited for 2nd on the ticket though. (behind who at this point, I have no idea)
DeMint - Bachmann would work for me.
Like I said, you might want to read a bit more carefully.

Take no prisoners.
Amen. That’s why DeMint and Bachmann as a pair would be the most conservative tandem since Harding/Coolidge
ROFL. Exactly
christingles head exploded at the mention of Bachmann for PRESIDENT.
Still pissing in the punch, I see...
Whose punch? It looks like we’ll get at least one conservative to run. And a babe at that.
More than elephant ears. Go for girl go for!
I kid you not:
I met Michele Bachmann a few years back and said to her I hope I’m shaking the hand of a future President.
If Pence doesn’t run, it’s Bachmann all the way for me!
Can someone run for president that doesn’t call an earmark an earmark ? The world is waiting.
A bit of tweaking here, refining “special transportation projects” there, build yourself as a celebrity talking head...and she’s all ready to go !
I much prefer Bachmann over Palin.
Me too. If nothing else, Bachman doesn't set my teeth on edge when she speaks. I guess I'm allergic to hokey.
