Elizabeth Edwards cut her louse of a spouse out of her will - less than a week before she died.
The wronged wife of former presidential candidate John Edwards, who died last month after a courageous battle with breast cancer, left everything in her sole possession to their three children.
"All of my furniture, furnishings, household goods, jewelry, china, silverware and personal effects and any automobiles owned by me at the time of my death I give and bequeath to my children," the will says.
Edwards' eldest daughter Cate, a lawyer, was named as the executor of the will, according to Inside Edition, which obtained a copy.
John Edwards was not mentioned even once in will - though his work as a trial lawyer generated the family's fortune.
His net worth through courtroom work has been pegged at more than $25 million.

Grab it all, kids. Don’t let the whore enjoy any of your mother’s possessions for even a minute!!!
It is all academic. John Edwards is the sole surviving parent of the two younger children and he was the one with the money, not Elizabeth.
Sweet!
John Edwards will probably sue.
Through the sad news of her going to her final resting place, I am so very happy to hear she was able to make sure that slime of a husband she had will receive no payola. Of course, Johnny Sleep Around is a sleaze of a lawyer. So he will probably find a way to get his paws on something.
Reported by the National Enquirer two weeks ago.
Since it was him who made the family’s fortune then he doesn’t need her stuff.
Yeah, whats he supposed to do with china, jewelery and silverware anyway?.
Good for her. He’s a schmuck. I am a care giver for my breast cancer surviving wife, tail end of battle year 1. I am a 3 1/2 year survivor of colon cancer stage 3. In sickness and in health is what we pledged.
Wasn't he married to her?
It's not like he's going to be left destitute, after all.
Definately two Americas in that household.
“John Edwards is the sole surviving parent of the two younger children and he was the one with the money, not Elizabeth.”
She at least made a statement, and the children can have her personal things. But I’d hope that, as half of a very affluent couple, she also had her own bank account(s) and investments (legally protected from John, to pass to her kids), particularly knowing she wouldn’t likely have an indefinite amount of time left to live.
25 mil, and all without the pesky burden of a conscience.
.
I don’t think money was the point of her actions. By cutting him out of receiving ‘china, furnishings etc.’ that he bought and wouldn’t want anymore anyway, she is stating her true opinion of him after staying rather quiet throughout John’s public humiliation. This final act seems to say ‘yes, he really is as bad as you all suspected he was’
“Wasn’t he married to her?”
He was a MINO (married in name only)
I don’t know the law in NC, but in most states you cannot disinherit your spouse. If she had wanted to do that, she could have asked for an quick divorce decree.
In NYS It is not possible to disinherit one’s spouse. What is the law in NC?
She may leave her personal effects to whomever she chooses, but her financial assets are regarded differently since they remained legally married at the time of her death.
Any FReeper lawyers from NC?
