High-end department store Saks Fifth Avenue Inc. said Wednesday that it will close its Denver store in March, making it the seventh store the New York retailer has closed since July.

Another sign of the “recovery”?
That Saks.
Keep this up and they will be Saks 4th Avenue pretty soon.
Boy, that obama economy is really helping business and employment.
How is that working for you corporate obama ass-kissing supporters?
FUBO & FAD
I went into a Saks once, saw a pair of $200 jeans and a $50 t-shirt.
If you put them side-by-side with jeans and a t-shirt from the GAP you couldn’t tell them apart.
But if someone wants to piss away their money it’s their business.
I don’t see any “green lights”, I have had my hours cut to 32 per week. I guess I should be glad I’m still working, but the smaller paycheck will cause a dent in our budget.

Every time I went in that store there was no one there... no wonder, even in West Plano people are "smart" enough to not spend $250 for a button down shirt and $135 for a tie.
The place closed at 6:00 pm on Saturday nights ... don't know if they did that to save $s or if they had "private shopping" for their 5 customers.
I'm sure the employees at that Willow Bend store were given an option to work at the Galleria store (much bigger) ... about 12 mi. South.
Saks gets sacked?
Of course, the high end stuff goes first. Folks who patronized Saks, for example, may decide that in tough times Macy’s is good enough ...

The Macy’s in affluent Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, is closing:

Maybe Macy's needs to have a sale once in a while to drum up business.
OHHH NOESSSSSS!!!!
They'll have to shop at < gasp > LORD & TAYLOR!!!!
