That’s the great thing about America. You don’t have to belong to a ‘party’ to participate.
The problem is that our “elites,” the top 20% of wealth in this country is 80% liberal. Like lawyers, who reduce every matter to a legal one, the wealthy think of everyone in socio-economic terms. Every religious matter they try to treat as “old-school,” or outdated. Hence, when they encounter a mentality that REALLY is “medieval” they don’t know how to handle it. They don’t recall that emperor worship, really, REALLY was important to the Japanese, and that almost to a man, were willing to die
for their living god. Saudi princes who dress, talk and act like Europeans, do NOT think like Europeans. That Islamic “stuff” really, REALLY does mean something to them.
