Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann is considering running for the Republican nomination for president in 2012, ABC News reported Wednesday.
The third-term lawmaker, who formed the Tea Party Caucus last year, is making her third trip to Iowa in eight months. She will seek advice from local party leaders, as well as speak at a Jan. 21 fundraiser for Iowans for Tax Relief political action committee.
Should she run, Bachmann would join a field of candidates that could include four former governors Mike Huckabee (Ark.), Sarah Palin (Alaska), Tim Pawlenty (Minn.) and Mitt Romney (Mass.) as well as Sen. John Thune (S.D.), Rep. Mike Pence (Ind.) and former Speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.), all of whom are rumored to be weighing bids.

She would get my vote!
She’d get my vote. How about a full lady-slate, Sarah and Michelle?
Will the MSM have enough resources to trash two women at the same time (Michelle & Sarah)?
Well, its news anyway.
Rollin the dice!
Glad to hear this, especially with Palin’s apparent ambivalence about homosexuals in the military.
YES!! She’s been my favorite all along. Now - who for a VP?
With her you know what you will get too.
But...I will stick thinking a lady would have a hard time getting the nod unless she resembled a Jean Kirkpatrick type this time around.
No glitter, all business.
Michelle is right on all the issues, but she lacks executive experience. That, for me, is probably a deal breaker.
The key to a good Presidency isn’t just having your own head on straight but being able to assemble and manage a highly capable team. She’s a lawyer and a legislator. No more on-the-job training. I think she will be much more valuable in Congress.
She’s not what I’m hoping for, but I’d vote for her in a heartbeat over the incumbent.
Is there anybody who ISN’T running? That might be easier. ;-)
If Pence doesn’t run (which seems likely), she’s got my vote.
She would be like the 43rd candidate.... New Hampshire is going to get crowded.
Bachmann-Palin Overdrive (if Palin is the VP).
In a non-Press-Release post to Free Republic today, January 5th, 2011 poster SparkyBass announced that he is indeed NOT running for President, nor will he ever do so.
:)
Mike Pence
There’s a Congressman Turner from Ohio, probably not conservative enough for me, but think of it Bachmann-Turner Overdrive.
Wow! Imagine the possibilities....
Bachmann/Palin
DeMint/Bachmann
Bachmann/Ryan
