Unbelievable, but I also can’t believe Gingerich’s father saying “He Knows he did wrong, but...” There is no “but” when talking about murder for pete’s sake!! And the rest of the statement by this dingbat father suggests that he thinks what his son did to be something akin to getting in a fight on the playground and maybe spraypainting graffiti on the school’s walls!! He KILLED someone - and the crime was premeditated!! Sorry, but to suggest there is no “moral compass” in place at 12 years old speaks volumes for how this kid got where he is... just unbelievable. (And the father is concerned because he “can’t play ball with his kid” if he goes to jail??!! What about the poor man who will NEVER get to be with his wife or family members again because he’s been shot to death??!!) OK - rant off. Thanks for listening/reading.
This is an awful crime. Yes, it's very shocking to see kids this young committing murder. Both kids were from divorced families and very unhappy. They wanted to run away. Very sad.
There’s no one I empathise with more than children who kill their parents.

Yes, Colt Lundy deserved 25 years. He set in motion a plot to kill someone for personal gain, gathered the materials to carry out the crime, gathered accomplices, plotted out the steps of the crime, and then armed a co-conspirator to carry out the crime.
I do not believe that Paul Gingrich deserves the same sentence. Of course he deserves to be punished, to go to jail, but not for 25 years. I can only hope that his governor or a future president sees reason and decides to commute the sentence to a shorter period.
Who wants to bet that the kid spent hours playing videos that made you determine the best way to murder someone?
Execute the little bastard and he won’t kill anyone else or reproduce.
This is the result of broken families....it is caused by the cultural Marxists who are destroying the family unit through divorce laws and the media glorification of all behavior that destroys families.
Destroy the family unit and you destroy the emotional development of the children and their moral compass.
A biological mother and father is the natural right of a child and is the most effective form that produces secure, bonded (loving) people. Strangers or non-biological parents are much more likely to not love them and abuse them and not care about them. God’s design is the best and Marxists is trying to destroy it. Because of their laws and welfare, we are destroying children.
You may well be right, but I find the father’s attitude shocking in itself. He also seems not to grasp the gravity of his son’s act and selfishly laments something as inconsequential as “playing ball” with his son, rather than recognizing that there is a man DEAD because his son KILLED him. Granted, as a parent he will lament the loss of what he might have shared with his son had he not been headed for prison, but to approach it from the standpoint of what HE will miss or what his son now has to face is just beyond the pale.
It’s a twisted family, that’s for sure.
“Execute the little bastard and he wont kill anyone else or reproduce.”
Some times you just need to take them out behind the courthouse. Knell them down in the grass and shoot them in the head.
Somehow, I got feeling this kid did not spend a lot of time in Sunday School.
The kid shot the victim twice, but you think giving him 25 years for helping to kill someone who did him no harm what so ever is wrong? Pardon me, I think it is wrong also, I think both of these disgraces to the word “child” should be executed when they hit the legal age of 18. THEY KILLED A MAN, get it? What part of killed don’t you understand?
Don't keep your guns where kids can get at them! Danner could still be alive if he'd kept those guns under lock.
You have a point.
