Health Reform: A date's been set for the attempted repeal of the greatest federal control of our lives, and even our deaths, perhaps ever. Senate Democrats say over their dead political bodies. Game on.
You could call this GOP Congress a death panel for Obama-Care itself. The decision to pull the political plug has been made and the date is set. The text of the repeal bill is already online, at rules-republicans.house.gov. Putting key bills online before they were voted on is something President Obama and the Democrats promised but never did.
The attempt may be futile — the Democrats still hold the Senate, and a presidential veto looms beyond that. But our representatives, including 23 Democratic and independent senators up for re-election in 2012, will be forced to declare themselves.
Some already have. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and top lieutenants such as Patty Murray of Washington, Charles Schumer of New York and Dick Durbin of Illinois have warned incoming House Speaker John Boehner that they will block any effort to repeal ObamaCare. They're welcome to try.
If Reid and the Democrats want to spend the next two years singing the same song that gave rise to the Tea Party movement and a GOP electoral sweep down to the state legislature level, so be it. The GOP is liable in 2012 to wind up with veto-proof majorities in both houses of Congress, a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, and even the White House itself.
Brad Dayspring, a spokesman for incoming House Republican Leader Eric Cantor, says the House plans to vote Jan. 12 on legislation to repeal the health care law. "It will pass the House," Dayspring said — and with enough Democrats to make quite a snowball rolling downhill for Senate Democrats to stand in front of.

Lets make sure there is a clear record of of the name/party of each and every politician voting against repeal.
Oh, come on. It’s a symbolic gesture to identify a party position. Nothing wrong with that at all, but if you really want to repeal it, win in 2012.
Kill it and drive a wooden stake in its heart just to be sure.
Let’s see Red State Democratic Senators willing to put their bodies down in the path of a politically popular bill - and explain to their constituents why they voted against it.
Let’s face it: the country is broke, and within a few weeks the world shall know if the USA will default on its huge unsustainable debt. If it does, chaos and destruction will erupt in the inner cities. But after the fires are put out and the dead bodies collected, calm will be restored.
Perhaps the clock will be reset to 1929, or prehaps to the year ZERO. Perhaps money as we have known it will be replaced with government issued debit cards. Gold will be confiscated as well as all private wealth will be eliminated. Mortgages will be eliminated since private home ownership will be eliminated, to be replaced by squatters. If you live in a dwelling or apartment or a trailer, you’ll be responsible for paying property taxes. If you are homeless, you will be living free.

Too many parts/provisions of the NObama HELLTH Care bill are being implemented on a step by step basis.
We don’t need any of it hitting us before Nov 2012.
Just the 1099 provision that is in effect as of 1-1-2011 is horrendous enough.
IF you have ever done any business record keeping, you would know what a monstrosity that 1099 crap buried in the HELLTH bill is.
Whatever else they do, they should explicitly de-fund it.
They need to understand, we didn’t send them to Washington to help Obama govern; we sent them there to stop him from governing.

“If Sen. Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) Senate won’t budge on the repeal, new Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has plenty of other weapons at his disposal. Among other things, his party will try starving the bill of federal funds.”
