Condolences and prayers for the Pahlavis.

Although when I went to Berkeley there were people always demonstrating against the Shah, I always thought he and his family were decent and honorable folks... And friends of the United States.

Mental illness is an awful disease, and I'm sorry to hear the young man succumbed to the darkness of depression.
May the Good LORD comfort his loved ones and family.

How very sad. May peace come to the family somhehow.

The people who left Iran for America after the Shah was removed, those former iranians were for the most part highly educated and became a successful part of American life.

I know many feel deeply what is happening now and I can only imagine he felt it too.

Two siblings lost to suicide, how horrible. The Pahlavis have had more than their fair share of misfortune and sorrow.

Mr.Pahlavi was reclusive, stayed away from politics and was not as well known as his older brother.

Very sad, indeed.

Take a look at these pictures from Iran before the Revolution, um, Devolution. This is what Jimmy Carter couldn't stomach.

Well, it's going, going, gone now.

I sure hope they considered thoroughly whether this was a legitimate suicide, or a staged one.
