USS Enterprise Capt. Owen Honors Temporarily Relieved of Duty
ABC News ^ | Jan. 3, 2011 | KIRIT RADIA

The U.S. Navy will temporarily relieve Capt. Owen Honors of his post pending investigation of the series of explicit videos he is said to have produced when he was second in command of the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, sources tell ABC News.

Capt. Honors is under investigation for a series of raunchy videos in which he appeared from 2006 to 2007. The videos featured a series of skits that aimed to provide some humor during the long deployment at sea. At the time the videos were produced, the Enterprise was operating in support of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

But the skits were clearly offensive to many people. A leaked version of one video, first reported by the Virginian-Pilot newspaper on Saturday, contained derogatory references to homosexuals and was filled with profanity. At one point in the video, Honors introduces a scene in which two female sailors pretend to wash each other in the shower by saying that "chicks in the shower" were his "favorite topic."

Obama and his f@gs are jealous of women and their boobies. It is obvious. Just look at him talk about Palin. Just look at Elearnor Kagan, the way she is dressed, her obvious persecuted marxism and the way they absurdly praise her.

The pussification of the US Navy military is underway.

I would agree, except for one fact. The awesome men in the military will have a lot to say.

Even that Republic killer Lincoln knew what to do with the press.
The leftist press is in the business of character assasination.
They cannot be left unmolested. That’s how you get Pelosi in the Speakers Chair and a foreign communist in the WH

This should be JOB ONE. There can be NO recovering from the last 50 years of creeping statism without challenging the bastards.

FNC ain't enough. Alternative outlets need to stop allowing their own agenda to be set by the NYT and broadcast news.

Article 133—Conduct unbecoming an
officer and gentleman
a. Text of statute.
Any commissioned officer, cadet, or midshipman
who is convicted of conduct unbecoming an officer
and a gentleman shall be punished as a courtmartial
may direct.

B,. Nature of offense. Conduct violative of this
article is action or behavior in an official capacity
which, in dishonoring or disgracing the person as an
officer, seriously compromises the officer’s character
as a gentleman, or action or behavior in an unofficial
or private capacity which, in dishonoring or
disgracing the officer personally, seriously compromises
the person’s standing as an officer. There are
certain moral attributes common to the ideal officer
and the perfect gentleman, a lack of which is indicated
by acts of dishonesty, unfair dealing, indecency,
indecorum, lawlessness, injustice, or cruelty. Not
everyone is or can be expected to meet unrealistically
high moral standards, but there is a limit of
tolerance based on customs of the service and military
necessity below which the personal standards of
an officer, cadet, or midshipman cannot fall without
seriously compromising the person’s standing as an
officer, cadet, or midshipman or the person’s character
as a gentleman. . . .

Having never served in the navy, I'll ask this....Wouldn't King Neptune's Court fall under those regulations as well?

Just asking; I think it sounds pretty cool.

I guess they lost the memo that humor is the best morale builder available, and Captain Honors was the master of it. I’d love to see the whole thing for enjoyment purposes alone.

There are those things which are “the customs of the sea,” but even there there are limits.

The issue is not Captain Honors’ fighting ability or technical skill; the problem is that a full captain is acting like an ensign who didn’t know better.

When I was a second lieutenant, with newly minted butter bars, I made a comment in jest with one of my sergeants. My captain called me in and chewed me out. An officer can’t be “one of the boys”; he or she must lead his or her men. He must never be cruel; he must never baby his soldiers or sailors; he must lead.

As John Paul Jones, our first naval hero said, ““It is by no means enough that an officer be capable...He should be a gentleman of liberal education, refined, manners, punctilious courtesy, and the nicest sense of personal honor... No meritorious act of a subordinate should escape his attention, even if the reward be only one word of approval. Conversely, he should not be blind to a single fault in any subordinate.’””

I can’t see Decatur, Dewey, Sims, King, Nimitz, or Halsey doing this.

Some officers don’t make it to the top because they do not master politics. Captain Honors made it high, but not high enough.

I have told the Skipper we need to scrap surveillance and take the boat deep for maintenance....The Skipper said “you have 2 hours” I never felt so much pressure in mylife.

As Comm/EMO I've been there, supported the maintenance with the CO and sat in the radio shack for the duration keeping the Naviguesser out of my men's $4it so they could get on with doing what they knew how to do and he didn't.

It’s a lot of pressure to be in that situation.
Ya best come through. LoL

Sounds like you were a good officer.

Nimitz

Nimitz was a submariner in the days when the kind of wusses now running the show "tripped" and "fell overboard" and were lost at sea.

I’ve been asking that, too. I thought the captain was also held responsible; how could the then-captain not know? Aren’t secrets fairly difficult to keep on ships?

Using the logic of forced school bussing, they will make fags and Christians bunkmates...room mates, buddies for life if possible.

Restricting the usage of words is a deliberate pruning of human thought.

If you cannot use a derogatory name, then people will not think badly of others. So the logic goes with these people.

The truth is, people will lose all of their freedom, ala the novel 1984.

Since "gay" is now the correct term, you would think it is OK to use it, but no. Children in school use it to mean an insult to lots of things, the show is no good...it is gay, those pants are gay. That is bad, so the G, Q and Fa words are now restricted, only G's, Q's, and Faggots can use them.

Like the N word, it is restricted to black people. Notice the pattern?

The thing that really sucks is although white people fought and died to institute a country where Blacks, homosexuals, muslims, and all people are accepted and protected, the white people are restricted and closely monitored, especially conservative white men.

We shouldn't worry though because freedom is allowed in the Prole class. They are the people that will rise up and free us all from Big Thithy.

Uhhhhhhhh, human bodies are very hard to burn and are more likely to put a fire out than help to “kindle” one.
