How anybody thinks this guy, Obama, can be reelected in ‘12 is beyond me. He promised high gas prices and he is delivering. Does anybody honestly believe that is the key to winning a second term?
I think the better speculation is how damaged he will leave the Dem party when he’s finally done. I say double up his Secret Service details; the libs are the ones prone to violence, and as it slowly dawns on them that he’s destroying the brand, anything could happen.

I thought the ban was reinstated and covered all off-shore sites, not just the Gulf. I could be mistaken, but I was sure it happened in early December or about. Obama had a tussle with Sen. Mary Landrieu who held up confimation of some of his appointments until he agreed to lift the ban. Once the appointments went through he reinstated and expanded it.
Don’t sell this evil (not stupidity) short. He had $700 million in 2008 - much from the middle east (saudis). He controls TV and according to posters here - Prince Al Waleed’s Fox News is even fawning over him and making fun of “birthers.” Americans sold their liberty for a TV clicker.

You hurt people enough at the pump and there’s nothing any amount of $ can do; they will vote against the incumbent regardless. Unless you’re suggesting the Saudis could pump enough oil to temporarily lower the price, which I don’t see as a realistic option.
Americans supposed Big Media every time they turn on their TV. You cable and sat TV billion is split up so each of the 6 networks gets about $5 to 6 a month.
And guess who is a big shareholder or joint venture partner in the 6 Networks that own 95% of all TV channels? Saudi Prince Al Waleed bin Tal who manages Saudi Arabia’s investments. The King’s nephew.

The man who may have saved America is George Mitchell who invented horizontal drilling. In the past 5 years - America became the #1 producer in nat gas. Poland and Germany will be self sufficient for 100 to 200 years thanks to Mitchell.

They honest to goodness can’t put two and two together. A week before Nov. a reporter asked Pelosi about her plans, in light of the fact that ‘they’ said she was likely to lose the House. She shot back, ‘Who’s ‘they’?’
Iow, she didn’t believe they would lose the House. Even now, with people hating healthcare and seeing food and fuel prices skyrockets, liberals so not see themselves as part of the problem or imperiled.
When, however, the evidence of their decline becomes overwhelming, they are likely to lash out. Since even then they won’t blame their policies, they will likely target a specific individual, and my guess is it will be Obama.
