Big Media trumpeted Obama’s lifting of the moratorium. They haven't told the masses about the permit ban. Big Media ought to be sued for FRAUD!

I thought the ban was reinstated and covered all off-shore sites, not just the Gulf. I could be mistaken, but I was sure it happened in early December or about. Obama had a tussle with Sen. Mary Landrieu who held up confimation of some of his appointments until he agreed to lift the ban. Once the appointments went through he reinstated and expanded it.

Where is lil’ Mary Landrieu, Dem senator of LA, as Salazar’s Energy Department continues to gut the economy of her state?
Texas should simply start issuing its own permits for the twelve miles of the Gulf that belong to this state. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that the federal government can grab control of state land. It’s high time that the Gulf states start playing hardball. If the feds interfere with drilling, they should cut off the supply of oil and gas to the other states.

My sister-in-law works for a major oil exploration company down in Houston (she's an exploration geophysicist). She mentioned to my wife yesterday that her company has gotten ONE project approved since the BP spill after having to re-submit it to the approving agency TWENTY-SIX times.
