No FDR was not a “leftist”. Not as we know it today. FDR loved his country (unlike the left) and honestly thought New Deal programs would solve legitimate problems the country had. Indeed in the short term they did. Long term they were a disaster made far, far worse by LBJ’s Great Society. Hindsight is 20/20 though and I’m not going to call FDR a leftist. Reagan, when he was president, called FDR the greatest president of his lifetime. Don’t like it? Take it up with President Reagan.

Sorry Pal, but FDR tried to pack the Supreme Court with Liberal Judges to circumvent the legislature.

This man heaped the beginnings of socialism on this country. So please spare us the “FDR loved his country...” crap.

Utter BS. FDR and his leftist advisors saw a path to ever increasing government dependence ensuring their political power for generations.
