Oprah's audience is predominantly female, white, and over the age of 55. She certainly couldn't have become a billionaire on appealing to those only in the(so-called)minority and/or lower/middle class.

2008 was a classic example of voter fatigue(mostly war/economy). The Republican party didn't do themselves any favors by selecting yet another crusty establishment politician whom their own base didn't even like. Bush hate/fatigue, much of which the MSM was more than happy to be an enabler, was like a disease that spread to other Rep. candidates(again, the MSM was more than happy to be an enabler),...CHANGE was the mantra that many serfs wanted to hear....damn the consequences.

The pundits on BOTH sides can spin it all they want....and will continue to do so...in an attempt to sell their point of view(and their books, newspapers, whatever).

Throw voter fraud into the recipe and...good luck getting rid of the entrenched malignancy.
