FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. (Dec. 31, 2010) NOTE: Click "comments" for live updates of damage reports. A tornado has struck Fort Leonard Wood and fire personnel on post are requesting an emergency response from both Waynesville and Saint Robert firefighters. At 10:35 a.m., Fort Leonard Wood called for additional response from Crocker firefighters and from Tri-County firefighters in Richland. Detailed information isnt yet available, but Waynesville firefighters have sent a brush truck and a fire engine with full crews armed with chainsaws to the post; St. Robert firefighters have sent one engine. The storm has now moved out of the Fort Leonard Wood area and is headed toward Rolla, currently 10 miles south of that city. A tornado watch remains in effect for the entire area until 3 p.m. today.

I did my AIT at FLW in the 80’s. I liked the area.
