Is this sedition? If not, what is it (other than the ravings of a bitter old woman whose dream of communism has never come true)?

At some point American’s may have to have a civil war with these people to keep them from confiscating every tidbit of freedom we posses.

Destroy neoliberal Capitalism and replace it with Grand Government (read Marxism) to save us from the Darkness?

Yes - indeed this is sedition and they are on the march for your freedom.

What I like about these revolutionists is their ignorance as to what usually happens to those who start revolutions. Those who start revolutions are often hunted down and shot once the inevitable purges begin.

The troublemakers are eliminated once their job as useful idiots has been completed.

Just another ugly leftist bitch. I think that’s why they’re so bitter and nasty, can’t deal with nature’s hand.

These two don’t want to end poverty. They want to make mass poverty.

The angry crowds and riots are scheduled to begin just before the 2012 elections.

It’s not about ending poverty, it’s about killing capitalism.

The poor produce nothing and employ nobody.
If you “kill the rich”, then everyone is poor. There
is no incentive to perform above the rest as that
just paints a target on your back. When there is
no reward for effort (private property), there is
no incentive to work more than necessary to
sustain a minimal existence.

What she wants is nothing less than outright Communism, where all the means of goods production is controlled by the state. Does Piven remember the excesses of Josef Stalin and Mao Zedeng?

It’s aggravating that there is no way to read the article as it appears in The Nation. Useless link.

Thus Piven asks a question: “So where are the angry crowds, the demonstrations, sit-ins and unruly mobs?”

They voted in November, bitch. And in the next presidential election, they'll vote again.

“The troublemakers are eliminated once their job as useful idiots has been completed.”

Yes. But the tyrants remain. So the demise of the useful idiots is thin gruel.

If you care to read Piven’s article, I found it at

Her effort is to destroy Capitalism and replace it with, guess what?

They just call it something else.

Sounds like the old bat needs to be wheeled back to the home and sedated. Americans have their eyes on nuts like this and if the left tries to pull a Trotsky on us, we’re going to go down on them like the little boy over Japan.

For those who have longed to read the original article from the May, 1966 issue of The Nation but have never been able to find it, your wait is over:

http://www.thenation.com/print/article/weight-poor-strategy-end-poverty

There it is, in all its glory.

Read it and weep, my friends, the call to arms to end what The Founders began two centuries ago.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles. “

I though these two had died. But no, they’re still thrashing about like typical angry lefties angry at their daddies and mommies.
