My husband, currently training to be an LCMS pastor, went beserk when he saw this article. Basically, he sees this as an attempt to make conservative Christian groups, such as the LCMS, appear even more backwards, bigoted, and hateful to modern society, since we don't exactly approve wild & crazy sex all willy nilly and whatnot. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure it was one of the comments on here that mentioned that the ELCA healthcare benefits include abortion coverage--for their CLERGY. This is vile. I completely agree with hubby on this. It seems like the world is spiraling into behavior that is alluded to in the antediluvian OT, not to mention Sodom and Gomorrah where the population is SO sex-obsessed that their lives revolve around it.
