A federal judge today dismissed Republican Joe Miller's federal lawsuit seeking to overturn the results of the Nov. 2 election, clearing the way for U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski to be certified as the winner.
U.S. District Judge Ralph Beistline issued a 14-page order this afternoon in which he said Miller wasn't raising any federal issues that he needed to resolve.
He ordered Miller's entire federal case dismissed.
Beistline wrote that he would not second guess the Alaska Supreme Court, which already had ruled against Miller.

Recall Murkowski!
As expected.
Just awful.. I wonder if the people who voted for her like the way she will vote from now on?
RINOs stealing elections like Democrats.
The voters of Alaska just elected her; they are unlikely to recall her. Apparently Alaskans are no longer as conservative as commonly thought. It is disappointing that the Palin endorsed conservative Republican candidate lost this election. Now Alaska has a Democrat and an Independent or moderate/liberal Republican representing them.
Alaskans are addicted to pork and will do anything to keep it coming.
Where does Congressman Don Young fit in? He won statewide as a Republican. I don’t know his political leanings though.
“Alaskans are addicted to pork and will do anything to keep it coming.”
Ain’t that the truth! That’s why Sarah Palin had so many enemies when she was Governor and that’s why so many people worked overtime to keep Murkowksi in office.
It is really sick! The gushing river of federal money into Alaska needs to STOP, but it’s gonna take an act of Congress to do that....wait.....Congress? Oh, never mind.
Exactly! Some of these old professional politicians just won’t give up the power, you have got to stab them in the heart with a stake like a vampire. Lisa M., Dirty Harry, Nancy P., Charlie R., John M., Olympia S.,Barbara B.
Remember Edwin Edwards, 4-term governor of Louisiana, “The only way I can lose this election is if I’m caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy.”
Just like the time my supervisor fired me because another worker said that I and another girl that didn’t show up for work was because we planned to both be out the same day, which was a lie, but this beotch had it in for us both.
I told the azzhole super exactly what I though in no uncertain terms and then I added...your day will come in this place...and it did. He was fired for screwing around with the help. Made my day.
Same with these clowns who use their positions to change the rules.
Your day will come, judges.
When you lose to a write in candidate you are not a very good candidate and Alaska does get a lot of pork but when you get pork you find that the federal government has a lot of control thus ANWAR!!!!!
Yes, recall her.
But Joe lost the election. He didn't do himself, Alaska or the Tea Party movement any good by hanging on past the determination the gap was 10,000 votes!
There is a time to retire gracefully and live to fight another day. He may have poisoned the well!
Didn’t the LAW state that any write in candidates name had to be spelled correctly?
Shame on Joe for wanting the law to be upheld. /sarc
A lot of Democrats voted for her instead of the democrat on the ticket because they knew there was no way he'd win so they put their weight behind Moocowski, which is just more proof of how RINO she is.
Yes, he was vastly preferable to Lisa, but Joe was not a very good candidate. Miller lost to a write-in candidate. If you lose to a write-in, even one as well known as Murkowski, there is something seriously wrong with you - at least in the eyes of the voters.
People gotta face the fact that many high profile Tea Party senate candidates fared very poorly. The lesson is, run better candidates. COD, Angle, Buck, Miller - all lost extremely winnable races where better nominees may well have meant Republican victories.
At some point early on Joe should have conceded and run against Begich when the time comes. He lost a lot of credibility and good will by persisting when it was obvious that he’d lost.
