Frustrated by what he sees as a never-ending campaign to undermine President Obama, Hawaii's new governor says he plans to use his post to counter conspiracy theorists who continue to claim the president was not born in the United States.
Neil Abercrombie, a Democrat who took office Dec. 6, has known Obama since the president was growing up in Hawaii. Abercrombie knew Obama's father, also named Barack, and mother, Stanley Ann Dunham.
That long-standing relationship is a major reason Abercrombie, 72, takes umbrage at the persistent effort by Obama's most ardent foes to assert he was born in Kenya, which, if true, would constitutionally bar him from holding the office of president.
"Now that I'm governor, I'm going to do something about that," Abercrombie vowed during an interview in his office. Abercrombie, who spent 19 years representing Hawaii's 1st District as one of the more liberal members of Congress, acknowledged he has not determined a specific remedy.
"What bothers me is that some people who should know better are trying to use this for political reasons," he said. "Maybe I'm the only one in the country that could look you right in the eye right now and tell you, 'I was here when that baby was born,' " he added.

Without this governor running his mouth the “birther” thing is over. But this guy puts it out in the public even more. Lots of people know nothing about the BC thing. Now they will. Why? Because this governor is going to “produce” a birth certificate. Remember, he’s a democrat. Which means he’s a crook and can’t be trusted.

It will be good enough to fool at least one “expert,” whose verdict will be proclaimed definitive. Anyone who says it might be a forgery will be...well, you’ve seen what they’ve done to the so-called “birthers.”

You would be right. Even if Bam Bam was born on the Capital Steps he is still not a “Natural Born Citizen” he is a “Born Citizen” and not eligible to be POTUS.
I refer eveyone to SCOTUS: The Venus Case 1814, Shanks vs Dupont 1830, Minor vs Happersett 1875, Wong Kim Ark 1875. All 4 Supreme Court cases hold that a Natural Born Citizen is born in the US of two US citizen parents.
So why did not one Congress critter from either side of the aisle challenge Obama’s credentials in 2008? It drives me crazy.
This maroon doesn’t get it. There is one and only one way to prove that Obama was born in Hawaii. SHOW THE LONG FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE.
Besides that I did ot realize that a Governors position had duty that required he kiss Obamas ass. I thought the OFFICE served the people of Hawaii not one person in DC....

Some young buck over there at Langley was tasked with creating a mommy, daddy and baby for a couple connected to Grandma and Grandpa Dunham ~ who were themselves CIA construct people used to infiltrate first the Kansas City Communist party apparatus, and then the Hawaii apparatus ~ they were MUCH MORE acceptable in that milieu with a non-white son in law, and also definitely had top street cred when their black grandson moved in with them.
Must be some more field operatives at stake in this one or this'd all been called short before now.
So the error is Abercrombie's mail-order degree dates or some such ~ he'll be tossed under the ethics bus to save this story.
