Come along on another Alaskan adventure as we profile amazingly hard workers in the timber industry. Loggers are hearty and hardy, and the ones I know are true conservationists. I cant wait for you to meet these lumberjacks!
During this Christmas season, do you ever wonder where you get many of your Christmas trees, firewood, packing boxes
shoot, just look around at everything timber touches and ask yourself who begins the production of these wood products? Youll meet them on an exciting trip to an Afognak Island logging camp where our daughter learns even more about our familys #1 lesson: tough work ethic and character will fulfill and sustain you.
Learn how the logging families live in such a remote part of Gods country and how they cherish the land that provides their livelihood. Youll see how their reforestation efforts allow the forest regrowth rate to repeat a life cycle of new forest nearly every 20 years. These loggers actually care more about the sustainability of their forests than most anyone because they love their livelihood, they know America relies on our domestic timber industry for good jobs and economic security, they are inspired in the great outdoors, and many of them want their kids to get to grow up to be loggers. Basically, the good folks youll meet want to be allowed to do what they love to do and what anyone who lives among lumber and wood products rely on them to do for us.
In addition, come see Willows eyes open to a new rugged and rustic lifestyle. Her driving skills improve (?) before she undertakes a familys rite of passage with an upcoming drivers license test. Any parent can relate.
With only a couple more episodes to share, I promise you a fun and informative episode of Sarah Palins Alaska this Sunday night at 9pm ET/8c on TLC. Follow me there!

Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Viking Kitty/ZOT ping list!. . . don't be shy.
Thanks for the thread. I look forward to #8. Good night, All.
Thank you!
I enjoyed tonights show. Willow looked kinda stuck up through much of it but I’d have to admit I was alot like that as a teen especially when mom would try to say this stuff to me. Glad Willow found her smile in the end. NOw lets see what will the liberal bloggers will gripe about. Sarah said “Eskimo bingo” so maybe they’ll say that its racist to say eskimo. Nice show.
We have watched all of Sarah’s shows, but tonights episodes were especially enjoyable—on our new plasma flat screen with all the bells and whistles, and HD is definitely great.
Our kids gave us the new tv for Christmas, and so far, we’re really enjoying it. Problem for me is that I don’t usually watch tv-haven’t in years, and now I’ve fallen in love with the new set—have to make myself get up and walk away—LOL!
LOL. Me too, and at this point, I don't know.... but you'll be pinged and I'll give advance notice in a ping. I know I need to rest a day or two. Hoping for a nice quiet week and I'm staying home for New Year's!
Thanks!! Now he can only read!!!!LOL
So we can watch 2 NFL playoff games, relax for an hour and then watch SPA Finale. Cool!
Reagans birthday is in February.
Oh yeah, Eskimo Bingo! Geeez, you could be right. Those libtards...anything mindless to gripe about. I have to watch the replay to see all the details. I see from the comments I missed a lot. That serves me right. I insisted that my sweet husband watch with me - never knew he would chatter so much...lol.
Fiddlstix!
Really GOOD to see you!
Wife is doing well in CA.
Frigid cold up here right now but supposed to warm up by mid week.
Hope you all had a good Christmas and 2011 is great for everybody.
That weekend is another biggie for us here. The holidays always are but now we have another football game on the Monday ... hoping for a win. I noticed the Academy Sports store has a big banner saying if we win, they will open immediately that nightt and sell championship paraphenalia.
But not to me.
On that end, I wanted to get my son a jersey for Christmas. So, I went shopping. THEY WERE PRICED @ $40 - $80 BUCKS! That was more than my market could bear. He got something more in line with my wallet.
Wow. I really pity you. If you worked on your people skills, then maybe you could find another way to get others to actually acknowledge you exist.
Yes, on February 6. It will be Ronnie's 100th Birthday and I hope Sarah announces on that date at the Reagan Library. Sarah Please Run!
Ok wrote on calendar.
