Obama's insular White House worries his allies
The president famously relies on a tight circle of advisors. But with Republicans running the House next year, many say Obama will need some new faces to convey a new message.

Reporting from Washington In the West Wing it had become a pretty common sight: two national security aides with close ties to the president, Thomas Donilon and Denis McDonough, hurrying into the Oval Office to show him the latest piece of hot intelligence.
Some administration officials who watched the scene unfold worried that James L. Jones, the national security advisor at the time, was being left out of the loop and that Obama was being given raw reports before their meaning and import were clear.
A strong national security advisor might weed out what the president doesn't need to see. Yet Obama never quite clicked with Jones and the absence of a personal connection with the commander in chief turned out to be a handicap.

With Republicans in charge in the House next year, the Democrats contend, Obama needs new faces who might be better suited to negotiate with a resurgent GOP and come up with a fresh alternative to the now-dated 2008 campaign message of "hope and change." Some names being tossed around: former Secretary of State Colin Powell; outgoing Pennsylvania Gov. Edward G. Rendell; and Erskine Bowles, a former chief of staff to Bill Clinton and co-chairman of Obama's deficit reduction panel.
"He's dealing with a new reality," Douglas Schoen, a pollster who advised Clinton, said in an interview.

Obama still has allies? Who knew!
Zero is clearly lost. I believe his agenda is OVER from a Congressional point of view. He still controls the administrative alphabet soup agencies and controls via regulations.
Zer0 has plenty of Republican allies in the
Senate.
Yes, his Allies. Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Cuba, Iran, Syria, ... The list is endless.
I don’t see what the lefties are worried about.
Seems the Repub leadership is happy to cut a deal for everything Obama wants.
This man is clueless. He and all his Ivy-league “advisors” are the most incompetent group of boobs ever seen in any administration in our history. They don’t know how to run a war, foreign policy, and haven’t a clue about domestic policy outside what they THINK about it within their precious upper-middle-class lives.
I just hope we can survive the next two years.
This article suggests that The One relies on other people, rather than the divinations of his own stellar intellect.
When the same was suggested of Bush, we were told that Cheney was the puppet master and Bush the mere dupe.
I shudder to think what this idiot is yet capable of bringing down on us
308 million people in the United States at a time of war and economic peril and this guy is our “leader”.
We are the worlds only super power and this guy is the most powerfull man in the world ?.
If that doesn’t keep you up at night, nothing will.
But because his Ivy league cronies think they are smarter than everybody else, they can’t admit or see that their running the Obama White House is a major problem.
And Obama himself can’t see it. Firstly, he’s very very liberal, and liberals are in love with their own opinions and denigrate any with other views as racist, sexist, homophobic, bigoted, Neanderthal, etc.
Secondly, Obama doesn’t know how to be a leader or an executive. His very first job in life where he has had to be a manager or an executive is in his current job as President of the United States. The man doesn’t know how to run an office, how to work with a bureaucracy, how to delegate authority, how to expect underlings to be accountable and take responsibility, etc. He knows none of these things.
No tacit knowledge.
“He knows none of these things.”
And yet 40% still approve of the job he’s doing! What a f*#d up bunch of morons live in this country!
The little bastard sinks lower.
“If that doesnt keep you up at night, nothing will.”

Insular? You dont say? It seems as he did not get any message since the November elections. The new Congress cant come soon enough.
RINO’s to the rescue!
“But isn’t that what the Democrats say about us? Aren’t we
better than that?”
Better than what? Isn’t it about time we started fighting fire with fire? Our meek demeanor has gotten us nowhere for the past 40 years. I challenge you to find a way to overcome this blight on America by means other than those used by Ms. Palin; telling the truth over and over even in the face of the liberal media onslaught.
He won.
End of story.
