Gibbs: Republicans are accountable now By: CNN's Gabriella Schwarz

(CNN) - With significant Republican gains in the U.S. House and Senate and a new session of Congress around the corner, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said the Republican Party now has more responsibility to govern.

"There was a responsibility of government that I think the Republicans got in the November elections and they began to understand that responsibility a little bit more in this lame duck session than they had in the previous, quite frankly, 18 months or so," Gibbs said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union."

He said the party can no longer afford to "simply sit and say no," and instead needs to continue the trend from the lame duck session of being part of a constructive conversation. Gibbs said part of that trend should be making 2011 a year to put politics aside because there will be plenty of time to campaign for the 2012 elections.

Yeah,we effed it up now YOU clean it up.

Now remember though,if any of your plans look like they may work we will kill them in the senate or have Obumble veto them.

Then when things get worse we will have our MSM blame YOU!!!

Have you noticed how the MSM has avoided mentioning seasonal hiring when talking about job gains? Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I have a hunch that they'll keep this out of the discussion. Then, when the temps that are let go in January are reported in February, the Dems and MSM will blame the job loss on the incoming Republicans.

That's the most god-awful press conference I have ever seen! This guy must live in a dream world---according to him, all the pubbies have to do is bend over and give the dims everything on their agenda--and all will be right with the world.

What a pant-load!

Nice try, Gibbler.

Reality is that Republicans have enough numbers in the House to be obstructionist, but not the numbers to override a veto or actually pass policy (the Senate is still firmly in the hands of progressives, as is the White House).

So the upcoming failures of the next two years belong solely to President Hussein and his merry band of progressives.

He's right and therefor since Collins, Snowe and Brown won't be accountable for their own party then they should be kicked out.

Only, if DumBO signs off on what they send him.

And, ZerO does not pull a Hugo on regulations.

This is not a throwaway. This is the setup. The economy will still be crap in 2011—so, first it was Bush’s fault; now, it’s House Pubbies and senators’ fault. RATS always shed blame and the mediaill comply.

So... The car was in the ditch. Then, the libs got the keys.

Now, the car is out of gas, smoke rolling out from under the hood, the engine is blown, the tires are burnt all the way down to the rims, the U-joints are shot, and the electrical wiring is on fire.

Gibbs (holding out keys)..."Here, YOU drive!"

This reminds me on election night when accountability of the Republican congress was brought up, and Brit Hume said something to the effect of ‘how much did the voters hold the Dem congress responsible in 08? Zilch’. True story.

Gibbs needs to go back to his real job as Union Strike Mouthpiece Antagonist.

Ever since this sub-human POS started, the things that now come from that office resemble some Union Strike Committee Leader than they do any kind of Federal Government Communications Position.
