Just wanted wanted to include my take on An easy solution to the immigration problem is to pass comprehensive immigration reform (CIR). The law would accomplish three major goals. First, it would seal the border Second, it would provide work permits and programs so immigrant labor can cross the border as the economy and US labor needs require. Third, it provides humane solutions for undocumented workers who have come to the US and become established in society. It advances the Dream Act so children of undocumented workers can go to school or serve in the military. It keeps families together. It helps stabilize the real estate market and the tax base.

If you change the date of dec 25 , 2010, going back into time of 1985/1986 this is the same speech word for word. Just this one more time.Just pass immigration reform and all our illegal immigration problems will be over. In another 10 -15 years, we shall all be here again, with this same speech, just one more time.Illegals realize all they must do is increase in numbers, overwhelm America, when they have some 20 million here, they will want another amnesty, another dream act. It just an enless cycle. From 1986 to 2010 the amnesty did NOT fix or improve Mexico or keep illegals home. It seems no matter how much we do or give to Mexico, their problems never change or get resolved. The country has not advance very much, another immigration reform will do nothing for Mexico, except add millions of more people with whom Mexico will suggest how and what they should vote for, all in an effort to benefit Mexico

Cities and states are paying out millions of dollars in llegal fees to defend anti-immigrat laws.

Peanuts compared to what is paid out for illegal aliens in the cost of public schools, emergency room services, various government benefits, and many other specific costs.

Enforce the laws we already have. When that's done come back and see us.

PS: Where's the fence? It was authorized 4 years ago.

What a steaming pile. The laws are anti-immigrant, they’re anti-ILLEGAL ALIEN, who cost us BILLIONS.

Nice attempt at pro-DREAM and pro-amnesty propaganda. Not.

BTW, IBTZ. Kitties, another chew toy for Christmas?

The reason they cost millions is because the criminal federal government files lawsuits on behalf of illegal immigrants.

Gut the federal government and the problem will solve itself.

Tim Paynter is an attorney and human rights activist based in Denver, Colorado. He is a tireless fighter for abused women, children at risk, those ravaged by poverty, and those fighting for dignity in the United States.

Another piece of slime that makes money off of illegals.

Wonder how many times this came up in the Roman Senate, regarding the Goths and Visigoths?

Especially that part about “serving in the military”.

I like my amnesty plan!

Please call them INVADERS and don’t compare them to people who are legal aliens!
IF you aid and abet CRIMINALS, you are a criminal!
Finish building the fence.
It should be made a felony for Criminals who overstay their visas or just Invade.

I believe we should give amnesty to these poor CRIMINALS or INVADERS.
This should be a 2 week amnesty to get the heck out of our Country.
The ones who ignore this amnesty should be buried in a tent city jail and fined $10,000 or buried elsewhere.
All aiders and abettors of these CRIMINALS or INVADERS should get 1 year in a tent city jail and a $10,000 fine for each CRIMINAL aided.
Those in government should be the first ones charged.

I call BS on this. The current state of affairs COSTS the taxpayers BILLIONS.

Also, while I'm sure you mean well, the so-called Dream Act would only make things worse. If they want to be legalized citizens, at least let them learn that in this country, the rule of law means something. Let them return home, and apply for entry legally, then we can talk about it.

How stupid! They wouldn’t need to choose “aggressive” actions if the current administration full of frightened children would leave them alone to run their state.

Second, it would provide work permits and programs so immigrant labor can cross the border as the economy and US labor needs require

We have massive unemployment, we don't need immigrant labor. BTW, the lawsuit is being fought with private (donated) funds and not taxpayer funds.

Get the illegals out of the state and we'll begin recovery.

“Second, it would provide work permits and programs so immigrant labor can cross the border as the economy and US labor needs require”

Yeah, the only problem is, it wouldn’t provide for the EXIT of those same people in response to US labor needs NOT requiring them any more. And lacking the labor shortages to cause employers to employ those people, they become burdens(ome) to the state, as net consumers of services financed by the taxes paid by everyone else and generally NOT THEM.

It will be an endless cycle until a complete fence is built and the borders are secure.

Arizona will spend millions to enforce the laws that the federal government refuses to enforce. They will spend millions more to defend against the Justice Department’s effort to overturn their law. Yet the citizens of Arizona seem to think it is worth it. So what point is the author trying to make?
