Think, economy. By 2012 we could well be in the depths of the Double Dip, thanks to the Feds QE2, among other crimes on the dollar. With proper PR, the Rats may be radioactive by then. My advise is to vet a primary challenger and get him out there!
Scott Brown was always a one race pony, and he was a RINO going into it.
They have it now.
That's what I remember from another website: indies were barely over 50 %, rats were slightly more than 38 % and the GOP at about 11 %. I'm afraid Scott Brown is like what has been said about the Dobbsy twins from Maine, i.e. the best we can hope for in the Northeast. I'm afraid it's hold your nose again. The last rat elected to that seat did a hell of a lot of damage.
The Dobbsy twins from Maine are a different matter now that the legislature and governor is controlled by the GOP. Collins and Snowe need to be primaried for all of their collaborating with the rats.
If Collins and Snowe are primaried, so will Brown. This is, unless he proves reliable in a way that pulls support from out of state. Without that, he would not have won in January. Overall, I think he is toast. Massachusetts grows more socialist by the day.
....well... the sucker can have no local financial depth... put the pressure on and bleed him dry.....
The last RAT elected to that seat should have been jailed for murder and executed for treason.
We all get fooled on occasion-—however,we really should have known Brown was a RINO at heart since how could any good Pub ever be elected in that RAT state?——back to the drawing board

Haha ... the Dems will gain it back!
Ok, but it will be FAR worse.
I know. We had Arnold in our state. He’s been awful. But Cruz Bustamante would have been far worse.
And all the conservatives who claim that far left will cause a righty to be elected are WRONG!
That Queer Vote did him in big time.
You just can’t expect Massachusetts politicians to be anything else but marxists, it seems to be inbred with them.
He should have been honest; but I suppose that’s too much to ask of the slimy politicians.
See comment# 25. Slightly over 50 % of the voters in MA are independents.
Lugar is the one we should be targeting.

Good point. I supported Scott Brown as much for propogand purposes as anything else. I do have a question about Maine. Was the Republican sweep a one-time response to Obama’s overreach or the sign of a long-term trend?
And how is this “truly conservative candidate” supposed to, actually, win over the MAJORITY OF MASSACHUSETTS VOTERS, DURING THE GENERAL ELECTION? Conservatives don’t win the majority of votes for the majority of Massachusetts political races, and too many conservatives, who are outside of Massachusetts and who don’t, at least, live and/or work in Massachusetts, are clueless about how bad the “anti-conservatism” really is throughout Massachusetts! Massachusetts has been “anti-conservatism” for more than six decades and counting, and “anti-Republicanism” is only a tad lower than “anti-conservatism”, throughout all of Massachusetts! Whenever the GOP does win anything in Massachusetts, they are, almost always, RINOS, instead of being true conservatives, and this has been the political situation throughout Massachusetts, for many decades and counting!
