Woman Arrested at ABIA After Refusing Enhanced Pat Down (Rape Victim)
KVUE ^ | 12/22/2010 | KVUE

Posted on 12/23/2010 9:21:21 PM PST by Dallas59

Early Wednesday morning, a computer glitch shut down a security checkpoint for a couple of hours at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The line snaked out the door as many travelers waited for more than an hour and some missed their flights. One of the first people in line after that shutdown never made it through. She was arrested and banned from the airport.

Claire Hirschkind, 56, who says she is a rape victim and who has a pacemaker-type device implanted in her chest, says her constitutional rights were violated. She says she never broke any laws. But the Transportation Security Administration disagrees.

This is the most blatant violation of the Constitution yet. Where are all those smart lawyers that could stop this in a New York minute? Oh, I forgot, they’re out in CA overturning election results they don’t like and across the country defending drug dealers, rapists and child-molesting, drunk-driving illegals.

A lot of us here took an oath to defend America from enemies, both foreign and DOMESTIC. That oath has no expiration date. I want my country back; I will honor my oath.

“He that would trade liberty for temporary security deserves neither.” Benjamin Franklin

How much cheaper would a National ID

Like Hitler and Stalin used? It worked out ok for most of the loyal nazis, but even the best Stalinists could find themselves on the wrong end of a purge.

So the costs of your program might turn out to be pretty high.

We should all at least stop flying

isn't that the real game, tho? first government motors, quickly followed by government air, progressing to government rail, government bus - check check check. "Punish our enemies" takes on a whole new light zoomed out.

As a person with a Top Secret clearance (re-investigated every 5-yrs) for nearly 30-yrs, I find it silly that the TSA drone that has a criminal record and a basic warrant check (once) has say-so over my right to travel.

Madness. . . and when I fly in First Class, I am issued a steel knife and steel fork when served my meal.

The irony.

SHE HAS THE RIGHT NOT TO BE GROPED WITHOUT PROBABLE CAUSE. Got it now?

I haven’t flown since 9/11.
I drive and love it, and see the country in my new Ford. Government Motors I have abandoned.

Setting off the metal detector gives probably cause for a search. I agree that for anyone who sails through the detectors, there isn't probably cause unless they fit a profile as determined by an experienced profiler.

I'd personally prefer the alternative of doing away with the detectors and allowing anyone with a CCP to carry, subject to ammo limitations - frangible rounds or AP, no hollow points, for example.

If your employer can afford first class, and you are that important, you probably should be flying charter, not commercial. Then your ‘do you know who I am’ attitude won’t cause you any problems.

How much cheaper would a National ID be for many of us with proven histories plus prior TS Nuclear clearances and even SCI?

Tell me you just forgot the /sarc tag.

Setting off a metal detector isn’t probable cause. There are too many false positives. In fact, it is almost unheard of for the metal detectors to detect a genuine weapon.

Touchy, aren’t you.

Nope, I get through security without any problem. Just figure out which union is organizing that locale, and wear the appropriate union pin.

This official statement reads like it was pulled out of Orwell's 1984 as an example of official "Doublethink" statement:
"Our officers are trained to treat all passengers with dignity and respect. Security is not optional."
Freedom is Slavery.

Ignorance is Strength.

"Dignity and respect" -- With Dignity they demanded to feel her breasts. She refused. With Respect they threw her the floor, and dragged her 25 feet in front of the line of dozens of people.

I will not accept this. You must not, brothers and sisters, patriots and modest folks. Support this dear modest lady.
