The Shelbyville chief of police and a former Tyson employee confirmed that threatening messages surfaced this week, leading to extra security at the plant.
"A couple days ago, they had a terrorist threat that was written on the bathroom walls that said 'all Americans must die,'" said a woman, who said she wanted to remain anonymous to protect her relative, who works inside the plant.
She said that she didn't see the writing herself but is aware of what's going on from others.
"One day last week, someone set the women's bathroom on fire, and they finally put a security guard at the bathroom door," the woman said.
She said workers are scared.
"Some of them are afraid. They've been talking about it and worried about it and wondering what Tyson is going to do about it," she said.
"We have not been asked to come down to Tyson to make any kind of official report," said Chief Austin Swing.
But Swing said the department has been asked to provide an armed, off-duty officer to patrol inside the plant through the holidays. Tyson didn't explain the reason why.

Don't be scared....fight back!!
The Moslems want you to be scared. Don't give in to their intimidation tactics.
Having lived in Southern Africa, I can tell tell you that there are thousands of english-speaking, educated Christian Africans who would loved to get one of those visas, which have been relegated to the Somalis who HATE us.
I will NEVER FORGET the stories of the Somalis in this country who cheered at "Black Hawk Down" screenings, and on 9/11.
Who made the decision to bring these people here?!!!!!
We’re fortunate to live in farm country and own a farm ourselves. That cuts down on what I buy at the stores.
But yeah, I always have the nastiness factor in mind no matter what food I do buy.
Eastern Europeans seem to be of the mindset to come here legally. No room for them on the lists, though, because we keep bringing all those muslim refugees in. >:-/
There are many who are ready and willing to fight back but so far, the Somalis haven’t done anything bad enough to crank ‘em up. No one wants to go to jail for nothing.
I’ll be keeping a close eye on things to see if they take this as enough of a threat to take action of some sort.
Good question!
They supposedly stopped allowing Somalis in for a short time in 2008 but, IIRC, Obama started allowing them in again after he took office.
Oh, I didn’t mean you....I meant the fact that the article mentioned that people are scared. ;-)
Better double the meat inspectors.
I knew you weren’t referring to me. I figure you’ve seen enough of my posts in the past on this matter to know I’m ready to let ‘er rip. LOL!
I want the vermin outta here by any means necessary.
They shoulda been doubled long ago!
Didn’t Obama just approve 10,000 more Somolies to be admitted to this country?
You may be right. I can not believe we are even allowing Somalis to come over here and work. All of this is unbelievable.
Tyson Foods, destroying the USA one illegal at a time. Esperanza Arkansas, formerly known as “The town Called Hope”, is now more than 10% hispanic. Nice neighborhoods are turning into slums. There seem to be more mexican school children than Black.
The new "Food Safety"(/s) bill will put an end to that in short order.
Up in central Minnesota (big toikey processing country), the locals blame Catholic Charities......the Somalis have totally funked the local demographic; we were there last summer and I felt like I was in Mogadishu.
The one thing that stood out the most about that plant was the high absentee rates as well as the abnormally high numbers of anti-depressent drugs which were being prescribed to employees there by local doctors and ultimately paid for by us under the presc. drug plan.
Same thing for any plant food that is grown and picked. Drive through the Salinas Valley from King City to Castroville and you’ll see that everybody in the fields is Mexican or Central American. How many do you suppose are here legally?
“Many Americans will die unnecessarily because theyre so stupid to let this murderous trash into the country.”
Then it wouldn’t be “Unnecessarily” would it!!!
I was hoping Perdue chicken was an exception.
So when I buy Sorrento cheese, or Dannon yogurt or Saltine crackers or MacIntosh apples or Reese’s Peanut Butter cups..the odds are high that the food has been handled by illegals?
Yikes.
