When I was still working at our corporate hdqtrs in S.E. Michigan, we had a manuf. plant in Shelbyville. Since I worked in the benefits area I had access to monthly billing statements from our respective insurance carriers.

The one thing that stood out the most about that plant was the high absentee rates as well as the abnormally high numbers of anti-depressent drugs which were being prescribed to employees there by local doctors and ultimately paid for by us under the presc. drug plan.

Hmmmmmm, I wonder why all the anti-depressants being prescribed. I know the locals have been unhappy for quite a while, what with hundreds of illegal Mexicans flooding the town for years, then the influx of Somalis. Don’t know if that would have anything to do with it or not.
