The Shelbyville chief of police and a former Tyson employee confirmed that threatening messages surfaced this week, leading to extra security at the plant.
"A couple days ago, they had a terrorist threat that was written on the bathroom walls that said 'all Americans must die,'" said a woman, who said she wanted to remain anonymous to protect her relative, who works inside the plant.
She said that she didn't see the writing herself but is aware of what's going on from others.
"One day last week, someone set the women's bathroom on fire, and they finally put a security guard at the bathroom door," the woman said.
She said workers are scared.
"Some of them are afraid. They've been talking about it and worried about it and wondering what Tyson is going to do about it," she said.
"We have not been asked to come down to Tyson to make any kind of official report," said Chief Austin Swing.
But Swing said the department has been asked to provide an armed, off-duty officer to patrol inside the plant through the holidays. Tyson didn't explain the reason why.

I don’t know about Tyson’s Tennessee plant but in ‘06 it was revealed that in their Arkansas plant over 90% of their workers were illegal aliens. Not from Somalia.

The Somalis and other muslims they employ now are here as "refugees", so they have legal status. But the whole situation has been a mess.

The locals - - and those of us in surrounding towns - - have not been comfortable about so many muslims being in the area; especially with the way the behave towards us. With the recent reports about terrorist threats to the U.S., this little episode isn't going to go over well at all.

I figured the Somalians were here legally. I wouldn’t be comfortable about having them around either. As for Tyson! I stopped buying their products when I found out they concentrate on hiring illegals.
I stopped buying Tyson products after delivering office supplies to one of their plants back in ‘80. Just NASTY!!!!!
My hubby’s been inside the Shelbyville plant and now won’t eat ANY poultry, it grossed him out so badly.
Oh well, one less decision I have to make when buying groceries. LOL!

Yes, some do work there. But as I mentioned in an earlier post, the muslims appear to get first dibs when there are hirings. Or did any way. That practice may have stopped since it caused a BIG ruckus.

Aaaaaaah, just wait until some of the locals start getting wound up about this - - now that more are learning about it.
