The fallout from the Dept. of Homeland Security's interview with Diane Sawyer keeps getting worse.
Following Janet Napolitano's "364 days a year" gaffe (funny if not all that worrisome) Sawyer asked Director of National Intelligence James Clapper about the arrests of 12 suspected terrorists in London earlier that morning.
Said Sawyer: "First of all, London. How serious is it? Any implication that it was coming here?"
He didn't know what she was taking about.

His priority was to conduct a TV interview that day and nothing else really mattered. Heads should roll, and it should begin with his.
Up until this week I at least thought they had a clue of some sort. Now I know I was wrong. They are clueless. They are all having a grand ole time on our dime. I am sure they have hangovers most of the time. They are all high and mighty pushing “diversity” and “social justice” on the masses.
The pathetic excuse I read in another thread about Clapper NOT being briefed on the matter was just that, pathetic.
Can one imagine knowing “the boss” was doing an interview on National television with Diane Sawyer, and Napolitano, and nobody briefing the man. Nobody bringing him up to date.
This is one of the most mismanaged misAdministrations perhaps ever. These people can’t find their butts with either, or both hands together.
They know what is going on but they have an agenda that they are committed to which makes them look incompetent.
Can you imagine if President Bush’s intelligence agency did this? Nipalitano saying, “we’re ready 24/7 364 days.” and now Clapper had absolutely no clue about terrorist attacks on our closest ally. Geez!
What concerns me is that the DHS has become a Gestapo-like organization that’s more worried about Obama’s domestic political opposition than international terrorists. That would explain why the border and Islamic terrorists are getting no scrutiny whatsoever.
Their main interest is finding an evil Christian militia somewhere so they can pull an OKC on it. So far they haven’t had much luck.

Remember, just because it's in the news doesn't mean you can start yacking about it if it is classified ~ all you do then is give credence to the report.
His response was identical to the one almost all these guys give when they don't know if a story has been declassified.
No doubt he will receive some briefing on better ways to deal with the problem.
Bill Clinton used to immediately change the subject, and sometimes just lie about something else to distract his questioners.
“My take upon watching it was that he’s a new guy who’s probably been briefed thoroughly on a gazillion things BUT he was suddenly faced with a question about something he believed to be highly classified.”
Yeah, right. It was “classified.”
That’s why, as the video says, the story was ALL OVER THE NEWS while the guy says, quite credibly, that he didn’t know anything about it.
Nope, incompetence is incompetence. Face reality.

He DIDN’T give credence to the report. He knew NOTHING ABOUT IT. How competent is that?
If ever our enemies want to do us harm they’d better do it now what with this incompetent regime.
Agree, but the man is the head of National Intelligence, and I would believe that as such he SHOULD know if something is classified, or not. That is of course if the man knew his job, and was concerned with doing it well.
Most all involved with the Left are more in it to achieve goals for an agenda than they are to do the job itself. I’ve seen the attitude of letting something take care of itself, or letting subordinates manage while “the boss” is working on a goal, or project before, and that is what I believe I’m seeing a lot of in D.C. today.
Then why did he apologize for not knowing about them?
One thing we can’t overlook is the director’s proposed “solution” to the terrorist threat.
He wants to open a “dialog” with Muslims. That’s the problem, you see. No one is listening to them, while they threaten to kill all non-Muslims.

Apparently, someone has the laughable idea that it’s the job of government agencies to “know what they’re doing.”
Nothing could be farther from the truth.
It’s the job of government agencies to waste taxpayer money employing the hard core unemployable and setting road blocks in the way of ordinary Americans to stroke the pathetic egos of imbeciles. Period.
