(NewsCore) - There's no silencing Stanley McChrystal. The controversial retired general, who was infamously axed as head commander of the US mission in Afghanistan, will lay out his vision of leadership in a no-holds-barred memoir set for release next year, publisher Portfolio/Penguin announced Wednesday.

His idea of “no holds barred” probably means he’ll say he’s “disappointed” in Obama.
the good general is apparently a lifelong liberal and voted for obama. what’s the worst he would say?
"If only I could have voted for him twice."
???
Bump
What? I thought everybody voted for him 2 or 3 times each.
The key quote from the article:
“An unnamed McChrystal adviser said the retired general came away unimpressed after meeting with Obama in the Oval Office a year ago.
‘It was a 10-minute photo op,’ the general’s adviser says.
‘Obama clearly didn’t know anything about him, who he was ... he didn’t seem very engaged,’ the adviser added.”
If he was lib, he might have been mugged by reality on this occasion.
I hope he slams 0bama good, but am not going to get my hopes up.
I’m not sure that any military general that voted for obama has anything useful to say that I would want to read.
When I first heard that McChrystal voted for 0bama, I searched the internet to confirm it, but it all seemed to be 2nd or 3rd hand information. Have you ever seen anywhere where McChrystal himself says he voted for 0bama? Sometimes I think the whole thing was fabricated to give 0bama his “Truman firing McArthur” moment.
You know, you’re right. I’ve not heard of one first hand account.
even with libs, there are sometimes glimmers of sanity — if McChrystal provides any real info and commentary on the fiasco of the Obamanation it could be a useful memoir
must have been an “interesting” moment for the General to discover that the Obozo had not the faintest idea what was going on....
Good, spill the beans General !
Will the DOD allow it to be read?
Gore can sell the publisher carbon credits to offset the manufacturing, use, and distribution of the paper.
My brother remembers him from ‘Nam. And I agree with the
observations by members of his staff concerning this present
administration. I believe he was done wrong-not only by the
guy from Rolling Stone, but by the Army.He should NOT be silenced. Oh I agree there was a Command error in judgement— trusting anybody from Rolling Stone. But compared to those among his superiors that continue to trust Obama—or whatever gods they rely upon in the upper echelons of our Military McC’s error pales by comparison.
I suppose I could agree with conditions. In my experience too many career Military are deceived by the appearances of the
Democratic Party politic. Deceived by the talk-and distracted by their own occupational duties. They fail to look beyond the structure to see the harm done by the Democratic Party.
I did not vote for Obama— but I was suckered into voting for
“an unusually good Liar “ when “run for the border” Clinton
ran the first time. After the election I received the affidavit by the Patriot who was in charge of the NG unit
(who himself had trusted Clinton once) Do you understand my point?
McChrystal would have voted for Obama not because Obama was a democrat but because Obama is a Foreign Policy Realist who campaigned heavily on realist foreign policies, while McCain is a foreign policy neocon who campaigned heavily on neocon foreign policies.
Likewise with Colin Powell. When he served as Reagan's NSA Powell was a politically unaffiliated realist. Powell was recruited by democrat realists and republican realists and he became a republican. He voted for Obama not because Obama was a democrat, but because Obama is a realist.
The real problems between Obama and McChrystal had nothing to do with Obama and McChrystal. Those problems arose because Powell convinced Obama to invoke the Powell Doctrine in Afghanistan, to force McChrystal's Afghanistan Plan conform to the Powell Doctrine, that if Obama let Afghanistan go forward without an exit strategy, Obama would end up like Bush, stuck in Iraq with no exit strategy.
