The European Jewish Congress (EJC) called Wednesday for the Greek Orthodox church to remove the Metropolite of Piraeus, Seraphim, after the high-ranking priest sounded an anti-Semitic rant on Greek TV.
Speaking on the morning show on Mega-TV, the largest television station in Greece, Seraphim blamed world Jewry for Greece's financial problems.
"Mixing Freemasons with Jewish bankers such as Baron Rothschild and world Zionism, the Metropolite said that there is a conspiracy to enslave Greece and Christian Orthodoxy," JTA reported. He also accused "international Zionism" of trying to destroy the family unit by promoting one-parent families and same-sex marriages.
Thirteen minutes into the program the host asked Seraphim, "Why do you disagree with Hitler's policies? If they are doing all this, wasn't he right in burning them?"
The Metropolite answered, "Adolf Hitler was an instrument of world Zionism and was financed from the renowned Rothschild family with the sole purpose of convincing the Jews to leave the shores of Europe and go to Israel to establish the new Empire."

Wow.. ignorance abounds.. this priest is nuts.
and the Freemasons? or was it all freemasons are jewish?
this was just stupid. Does he even know the history of modern greece and the religion of the first greek soldier to die defending greece during WW I?
might as well cue the stone cutter video.
The greeks have been blaming everyone in the universe, besides themselves ofcourse, since the meltdown occured. The fact that this entire mess was created because they couldn’t stop spending more money than they had, and have one of the most corrupt & tax dodging cultures in Europe seems completely lost on them all.
Remember when the riots were in full gear in Athens and the greek politicians were postering for the EU to fully bail them out. And one politician claimed this was happening because the germans had looted all their gold in WW2.
they are dedicated to the green of money and power.
they don’t fight with bullets. They just enslave.
Yes. That’s right.
No, he is a nut. And so is anyone who agrees with him.
Don’t be a dick. It’s annoying
I understand. But he’s not a nut, at least just by what he said. Too many hold the same delusions.
On a sidenote I learned a key this weekend as to why so much of the world is Muslim.
Greece was penetrated very early, almost the original homo-home. What they should be penetrated with, of course, would be good, sharp poles - Tepes style.
Rabbi Ovadia Yosef is fully rational. He calls it as he sees it. And he sees quite accurately.
Yeah, well the world has lots of fruits and nuts.
Ok, I'll play -- what did you discover last weekend about why there are so many Islamics (speaking of fruits and nuts) in the world?
Not rational thought.
Sadly, antisemitism isn't new in Greece. In fact, the only Blood libel charge in America was sparked when an ignorant Greek immigrant blamed a missing girl on Jewish need for Yom Kippur food. (The schmuck didn't even get the libel right, It's blood for Passover matzah.)

And the senile Rabbi Ovadia Yosef was denounced by almost everyone.
In the West we think differently. 90% logic and 10% emotion. (Even the Democrats and libs.)
In the Muslim ‘faith tradition’ thinking is 90%+ emotion and 10%- logic. They don’t know how to make decisions. They follow. The Koran and Suras and other teachings give them plenty to follow but it’s ALL emotion and very little logic.
So why are their so many Muslims? Because by human nature it’s so easy to think emotionally and be a follower. Decisions are hard. You don’t have to make them if you are a Muslim.
What mind-blowing mental dissonance is Western culture to them!
You watch — Iraq is going to become MORE fundie, not less, as they come to throw off Western culture like an allergic reaction.
Not by me. Fwtw.
