No, the Brits get to stay ~ due to a "trick" on the part of William the Conqueror, it turns out almost all the invaders but for a few of his noble relatives came from Brittany and Normandy. That crowd arrived some time between the 7th and 9th centuries from Great Britain as Britons were pushed out by a growing Saxon population.

William's biographers set the numbers at well over 100,000 really horny guys ready, willing and able to "go back home to see mama".

So, they came back to where their ancestors had lived.

Before that their Gaelic speaking leadership elite had lived in the Black Sea and Mediterranean for a couple of centuries running boats before they came to Northern Spain, enslaved the Basques, and then they and their slaves invaded Ireland, took that place over, and then moved on to conquer Wales, Cornwal, and Britain ~ they may or may not have conquered Scotland and the Orkneys. There are signs the population there may have been predominantly Scandinavian (probably Sa'ami, not Norse).

All of which means you don't get to kick the Brits out of Northern Ireland ~ 'cause you all look alike and got the same marker genes for your racial/ethnotype.

There is nothing Celtic about Normans or Saxons (most of England is Saxon, while Scotland, Wales, and Ireland are predominantly Celt), and we don’t look alike - we smile.
