Piss on Amos. Either he was WRONG last week in opposing DADT, or he’s WRONG this week in supporting the repeal.
Either way, he’s a sorry excuse for a human being.
How do you know he will not implement this policy in a way that causes Congress to see the err of their ways? Imagine if he leads the way in refining the changes of the UMCJ in such a way that it shows the fallacy of having gays and straights bunking and showering together.
If openly gays are getting ejected for sexual harassment, maybe they will find that DADT was actually better for them and they will self-impose it.
This battle is not yet over, and there are ways this could get reversed without Congressional action. But I guarantee you that if the Commandant were not to at least appear to be carrying out his orders, the President would fire him and put someone who really does like the idea of gays in the military in charge.
