Why would anyone be surprised? He has to follow the law of the land, so he’s looking to make it work, in the best way, for the Marines. Why should he be considered a sellout? What could he possibly do, short of resigning, and how could that possibly help make this situation easier for the Marines, over which he has a sworn responsibility?

Thank you for getting it. Marines take orders from their leaders and then they carry them out or die trying. Period.

They also do NOT leave fellow Marines to deal with the sh** and run away.

The words "Semper Fidelis" have real meaning. This man is about to live it. Keep your eye on him. There will be no unpunished illegal sexual activity on his watch.
