It must really suck to be in a liberal’s mind
and have to try to justify “all cultures/religions are equal”
and have to... defend... something like this.
Usually, they ignore these things and/or act like they hadn’t heard of them. Or, sometimes, try to come up with an equivalent in Christianity.
Well, I heard once, on a late night radio talk show, that in the 5th century a Christian man beat his daughter for dating a Roman soldier on a remote island in the Mediterranean. A complaint against the man was sent to the church in Constantinople but, according to archeological records, they never replied. So it's obvious that Christianity is just as bad as Islam.
