Restoring the Republic is a work in progress. We made a great start in 2010. The work continues into 2012 and beyond.

Surprise to who? I fully expected Kirk to support repeal, regardless of what he was or was not publicly saying. Kirk is, and will continue to be, a very liberal Republican.
Sometimes a “half a loaf” candidate is the best one can hope for. But I suspect, when all is said and done, Kirk is not so much half a loaf than “that last end slice of the loaf that you really didn’t want to eat but did anyway because you didn’t have anything else to spread your peanut butter and jelly on” Republican.
Get ready to see male soldiers holding hands, cupping buttocks, kissing, etc...in uniform.
Get ready to see gay, pink shorts wearing and hair-ribboned loved ones welcoming their soldiers back.
And all of this will lead to a ban on any type of display of affection...which will lead to open acrimony, etc.
Don’t even want to think about the lawsuits and assaults resulting from soldiers (both straight & gay) serving in the foxholes of Afghanistan and elsewhere.

Also, ask yourselves. Around the world, in all militaries, do you think that Russia has a homo brigade. China, Iran any muslim nation for that matter, again, do they have homos serving openly in there militaries?
