I do not support the persecution of anyone, Christian or gay.

I believe that chaplains should be able to continue to teach from the Bible as they did before. (You know “the men shouldn’t like with men as they do with women” verse doesn’t come up often in my Church readings.) I believe God loves gay people as much as he loves straights. God’s love is unconditional. That is straight from the Bible. Remember that Jesus loved sinners (whores, Romans, and tax collectors.)

I believe in the 14th Amendment which basically that all rights apply to all American citizens. To not allow a group of people to serve would violate the Constitution.

I also think that 1) This is all for show and nothing will come of it.[much like closing Gitmo promise] 2) It won’t change much even if it does get enacted. 3) No interior decorator will sign up to be shot at just because they can.

Thank you for answering me. Now here we go...

Neither do I. But let's not use vulgar slang. The word is "homosexual."

I believe that chaplains should be able to continue to teach from the Bible as they did before. (You know “the men shouldn’t like with men as they do with women” verse doesn’t come up often in my Church readings.)

Good.

I believe God loves gay people as much as he loves straights. God’s love is unconditional. That is straight from the Bible. Remember that Jesus loved sinners (whores, Romans, and tax collectors.)

Yes, true.

But He didn't love the SIN, did he? What is your response to that?

I believe in the 14th Amendment which basically that all rights apply to all American citizens. To not allow a group of people to serve would violate the Constitution.

Oh, really? What is your precedent for this aberrant opinion?

I also think that 1) This is all for show and nothing will come of it.[much like closing Gitmo promise] 2) It won’t change much even if it does get enacted. 3) No interior decorator will sign up to be shot at just because they can.

Nothing from that paragraph is intelligent, so I won't respond to it, except to ask this: Do you really believe that "nothing will come of it"?

The military is not a democracy. The military doesn't need drug addicts so it routinely checks. The military doesn't need convicted felons so it can select not to select. The military doesn't need morons so it tests.

And, the military has never ever needed a person who is consistently cruising for sex with the person in the next bunk. All gays are chicken hawks all their lives and those who say they are not looking for 'prime meat' every waking moment are the most dangerous.

Gays are sick tormented souls for whom abstinence is an abomination and not to be considered.

You'll be gone before you can reply, but a word of advice. If you are currently lusting after the neighbor's kid, I hope he removes your testicles with extreme prejudice.

I have never seen a bigger bunch of suck ups in my life. Jim has lost his mind. He has turned this site into the DU.

By the way, I could give a flying fig about the “queer” issue (who talks like that anymore — how old are all of you?). The laughable part of this entire 800+ post thread of embarrassment is the fact that you actually believe that you are defending freedom of speech.

What a bunch of chumps. “Zot” me infants. [rolling eyes]

You misrepresent our Savior. God indeed loves we sinners. BUT HE DOESN'T LOVE OUR SIN!!! You pervert His death on the cross. His death absolves us of our sin AS LONG AS WE COME TO HIM, RENOUNCING OUR SIN AND ACCEPTING HIS INHERITANCE.

His Word clearly states that homosexuality is a SIN. He may love us, but homosexuals will never attain Heaven unless they renounce their sin. His love being unconditional does NOT mean he accepts our sin.
