Another Border Patrol agent on the Arizona border was shot and killed by Mexican drug smugglers last Tuesday. Of the eight attackers, four are in custody and a fifth is under surveillance by Border Patrol Blackhawk helicopters as he tries to make his way back to the Mexican border.

Rubber bullets!?
I had to dig it up. The links are being destroyed.
I guess rubber will have to work. The homosexuals down at the EPA says lead hurts their environment.
Some People need to be in Prison for this??
Big Sis and Eric Holder need to resign, post haste.
KILL HIM ALREADY!
Got to coat them with KY Jelly or it would be inhumane.
I’m betting that he had a pistol and a shotgun propelling bean bags from local chatter. Rubber bullets would be an improvement!
Amazing how they can clamp down this story!
From MountainWoman on the Arizona thread 12/17/2010 2:23:33 PM PST:
Ok, guys. Check this out - one of my good friends is BP and I sent this article and asked him if it was true and if so, how can it stand??? This is what he replied:
Yes and no. He had a shotgun that shot bean bags and his duty pistol. Where the article is off is where it says they only had less lethal. The mandate is that both be carried. If he would have had his M4 instead the outcome probably would have been different. The old chief was all about politics and public opinion which is probably why he made the rule. Napolitano and Commissioner Bersin came to talk to us today at muster. It was interesting. I will tell you about it next time I see you guys. It is too much to type but the agents there at muster blasted them. It was beautiful.
Like those issued to police and corrections officers. The criminal element is being armed in the main by Mexican law enforcement and Mexican military, not Bob's Guns and Tackle in Port Lavaca.
Tancredo’s article says “bean-bag rounds”...
“Here’s the part Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Border Patrol management are trying to hide: Border Patrol Agent Terry and the BORTAC team were under standing orders to always use (”non-lethal”) bean-bag rounds first before using live ammunition. When the smugglers heard the first rounds, they returned fire with real bullets, and Agent Terry was killed in that exchange. Real bullets outperform bean bags every time.”

He may have been armed with a 12 gauge and beanbags, but he also had at least a sidearm and almost certainly an M-4 carbine.
“The criminal element”—AKA “the invaders”

Why the surprise?
That’s what Bush had troops in Iraq using. Remember after the Abu Graib fiasco? The guards were issued rubber bullets. During one uprising, they had to flee for their lives.
PC is rampant throughout our ‘protective’ services.
Rubber Bullets? If that’s your load, you’re mostly hosed.
Best move if you can’t retreat? Aim for the face. Hit him in the eyes or nose, if you’re good and lucky.
That is sometimes referred to as the Arizona message board...

This would explain why Napolitano rushed to the border. Not because of concern about the agent but to gain control of the story.
