It's kind of depressing, isn't it? I, too, am sick of the sexualized images that are EVERYWHERE. I mean, geez, the billboards here in Los Angeles are like Playboy. Even selling women's shoes and purses, they use naked girls who look like they're 14. I dress to cover myself more and more out of pure reaction.

Here I am. I post against prostitution and porn regularly. I just get a little tired of saying the same things over and over again.
I am a Conservative, not a Libertarian. There is a big difference.
There is a constraint on every civil liberty. Our rights are not unlimited. You can’t say anything you want anywhere, anytime; you can’t worship any way you want; you can’t let off nuclear bombs in the backyard due to your right to bear arms; etc. I oppose pornography and want it illegal, enforced by juries using the community standards approach.
It is not victimless. That is an absolute lie. It destroys people.
Porn is not “freedom.” It is slavery, and it gets you right where your enemy wants you. The pornier America is, the weaker it is.
And it would not require a bloody civil war to get contain it. That is hogwash.
For my part, I have no problem in morally condemning pornography, though there are degrees of degradation.
But as a Christian I also believe that people have the right to sin and freedom is defended only at a cost.
Sharia law is the enforcement of moral behaviour - our law is about preserving freedom and limiting the excesses of damaging behaviour. It sounds good but look where it leads.
Nor is it wise to ban that which cannot be enforced in a pluralist society.
Me? I like some porn, that is why I steer clear of it. I have to pluck my eye out as it offends me. Gets bloody but that's the cost of following Jesus.
