He was assaulting a piece of wood with a carving knife. Must be some kind of environmental crime against trees.

The shooting is off screen, but you hear the cop yelling “PUT THE KNIFE DOWN” a couple times.

Not jaywalking--walking with an open knife. Evidently minding his own business and the cop goes after him and yells hey! Put the knife down. Yells it about 3 times and then shoots at the guy sounds like 3 shots. The guy probably didn't have a clue what was happening because the cop yelled quickly several times and it wasn't more than 2 minutes between yelling the first time and shooting.

The man had just crossed the street and the cop hurried after him, so was behind the woodcarver when he yelled Hey!. I wonder if the man turned around or got shot in the back. Wonder if the woodcarver was carving as he walked along. Some people walk along talking on a cell, reading, so I guess a woodcarver might be carving.

This country has become a gulag. Let the rapists, illegals, etc go, but for God's sake pull in all the citizens walking along minding their own business--they're such a damn threat according to Big Sis Napolitano..

I don’t think he was even jay walking. Just crossing the street. He was evidently carving on a piece of wood as he walked along not bothering anybody. Officer tell’s him to drop the knife. The guy was probably startled, then the oficer shot him five times.

He crosses in the crosswalk, so he did not jay walk either. How in the world did someone that stupid get a badge and gun?

Cop yells order to deaf guy minding his own buisiness. Failute to comply. Blam! Blam!
