Well, I view this as a test of the leadership. Whoever votes for this should not be given any committee assignments. These people wouldn’t vote this way if the leadership held them to it and made them pay the penalty.
But these are the same leaders who refused to pull Murkowski from her committee position when she ran against the Republican candidate after losing the primary.
Have they learned anything at all?
They only learned that when you have power, you need to screw the people as much and as quickly as possible. But since the budget has NOT been settled (a continuing resolution is NOT a budget), will the GOP leadership hold the line and block all other legislation?
