In a rare interview with ABC's "Good Morning America," former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin on Friday criticized the $858 billion tax cut bill that passed through Congress early this morning, calling the legislation "a lousy deal" that "creates a temporary economy with even more uncertainty for businesses and it does increase taxes."
"I think it's a lousy deal and we can do better for the American people," Palin told GMA's Robin Roberts, in an interview in her Alaska home.
The "new Congress is seated the first week of January," Palin continued. "It is better to wait until they are seated and get a good deal for the American public than to accept what I think is a lousy deal, because it creates a temporary economy with even more uncertainty for businesses and it does increase taxes."

Mrs Sarah assumes the new Congress would do what the American people elected them to do. Already I see and hear many indications that this may not be the case and we may get screwed once again.
Interesting on her not ‘deciding’ about a run for several months still. I’d have thought that she’d jump in early next year. Seems like everybody’s trying to hang back this time around.
She is willing to give the new TEA Party House a chance and I am, too.
The House has good reinforcements. The Senate is another matter, but we already know that.
It might be around March. Let not forget Feburary is Todd’s month to race in the Iron Dog. This Sarah’s time to hold down the fort.
The only trouble I see is if Huck jumps in before her.
I think she's going to regret saying that. Right now every potential candidate has their staff searching for any compromise Palin made while governor or mayor. She's going to be asked about flip-flopping from here to 2012.

We thought we’d seen everything in politics, but yesterday was truly miraculous: There in the White House press room was none other than former Democratic President Bill Clinton appearing with current Democratic President Barack Obama to endorse the tax cuts of Republican George W. Bush.
“In my opinion, this is a good bill, and I hope that my fellow Democrats will support it,’’ Mr. Clinton said in praise of the Obama-Republican tax deal that would extend the tax rates on capital and upper incomes that passed in 2001 and 2003. Keep the sharp objects away from Bernie Sanders, please.
Both Democrats have devoted most of their political lives to denouncing such tax cuts—for their injustice, for increasing the deficit, for any other ill you can imagine. But 9.8% unemployment half way through a Democratic President’s term tends to discombobulate the partisan mind. So Barack brought in Bill to help persuade a liberal Democratic base that is having a harder time forgetting two generations of anti-rich populism. Or as Mr. Clinton once famously said, “You gotta do what you gotta do.”

Please remember that the new Congress includes a Democrat-controlled Senate, and that the Dems also still control the Executive Branch. Sure, the numbers are better, but it’s still an uphill climb.
We’re going to feel the effects of the 2008 election for years, and the next two years are critical. The worst thing the right can do is expect miracles from the newly-elected and start tearing each other apart if progress is slow.
There’s just so much a minority party can do.
We’re also still feeling the effects of the 2006 elections, when many conservatives (and FReepers) stayed home in a fit of snit and gave Pelosi and Reid power. Dem Senators elected then still have two years to go.
There is no perfect candidate, there is no party that is going to save us. Life is full of imperfection, and we have to work, hard, with what we’ve got.
Last night was a good start.
I see this as another brilliant move by Governor Palin.
EVERYONE is waiting to see what she is going to do, as they are rightfully afraid of her. She will continue to be way out in front on policy issues and drawing a contrast with Obama, which will eat up virtually all the media airtime.
She has proven herself a master at PR and she can afford to hang back, while Tweeting and posting on Facebook, making major policy speeches and traveling abroad...the press will continue to hang on every word.
By the time she announces she will be in complete control and , as I have said many times...
She will in the nomination in a cakewalk and the White House in a landslide!
I do agree it puts her in a much better position and more likely to appear needed and yearned for, rather than overeager and causing the usual suspects to squeal that a Palin-stopper must step forward.

If they continue to fold and play nice with the Dem then we are going to toss them out. We do not need any more RINO’s.
It seemed that ABC used the same tactic they used when Sarah Palin was interviewed by Charles Gibson again.

Boy, isn't that the truth! I don't think I've seen a politician underestimated to the extent Palin has been in my life time! The people who call her dumb are either not paying attention or they are just in denial! She is brilliant!
You mean like before this statement no other potential campaign was going to do opposition research on Palin anyway? Wow! You’re smarter than I thought!
The Marxist’s first announcement when he went on National TV in a nasty, petulant fit of anger, announcing a deal had been struck, proved he had lost to TEA Party patriots, so Sarah Palin was absolutely correct to call it a *flip-flop* not a compromise. The Marxist had no choice.
