If Barack Obama wins reelection in 2012, as is now more likely than not, historians will mark his comeback as beginning on December 6, the day of the Great Tax-Cut Deal of 2010.
Obama had a bad November. Admittedly shellacked in the midterm election, he fled the scene to Asia and various unsuccessful meetings, only to return to a sad-sack, lame-duck Congress with ghostly dozens of defeated Democrats wandering the halls.

I’ll have what he’s having.
WTF is Kraut smoking?
Charles is drinking the Obozo kool-aid here. I thought he was smarter than that.
HUH??????????
A massive, mind altering stroke?
I think he forgot his sarcasm tag...
Krauthammer just jumped the shark.
Pretty much right on all counts.
For pete’s sake...I couldn’t even finish this. The new Congress has not even been seated yet. What is the point of this column?
The damage that this totalitarian, marxist maniac has done to our country will become more apparent, more obvious as 2012 draws closer.
Come back...likely to be reelected? I’m nauseated
er, I think some ppl are over playing the reason why Clinton won 2nd term. He won because of third party
Has he been hanging out with Marion Barry?
WTF is Kraut smoking?
I do not know the brand, but I do know it is “GOOD SH—!”
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit...
Just finished it. He’s right regarding the republicans. Damn them.
Charles Charles Charles ....
Have we already forgotten his abdicating the podium to Clinton?
His failure in international diplomacy at every level from negotiating for the Olympics and World Cup to Middle East and Afghan peace ... while praising his appointment of Hillary who he beleives is “THE BEST” Secretary of State in US History.
His international gift-giving idiocies.
A 10% unemployment level, record bankruptcies, trillion dollar deficits, Obamacare,.....
Sure, re-election is a sure thing
Really? Keeping the tax code in place is the same as the deal Clinton struck with Republicans in ‘94? Kraut has gone senile. This deal doesn’t put anything back on track. It just arguably keeps anything from getting worse if we ignore the continuance of funding even more pork.
If Obama had engineered these rates be permanent maybe a small case could be made he had provided confidence for investors and the business sector to engage long term but he didn’t even do that.
Kraut’s fawning would have made better sense if Obama had somehow trumped the status quo and slashed taxes even more.
