After liberals in the Democratic Caucus forced a several-hour delay on tax-cut legislation, the House approved the rules for debate on the legislation this evening and have now begun three hours of general debate. A final vote on the legislation is expected after midnight.
Yesterday, the Senate approved the $858 billion tax plan, by a vote of 81 to 19. The measure (HR 4853), negotiated by President Obama and Senate Republicans, would allow tax cuts for all income levels to continue for two years and extend unemployment insurance benefits for jobless Americans for 13 months.

Oh boy, outgoing Speaker Pelosi.....
Think he’s bad, here come the c*nt
Again the lie about unemployment being the best way to stimulate the economy.. Anopther lie, they are not getting a cut, they are paying what they have been for the last 8 years
Pelosi: “Think of what we could do with that $23 billion.”
You aren’t going to start any business with it. You aren’t going to invest it. You want to suck it out of the economy.
“Think what we could do with that $23 billion! We could give a raise to all the public school teachers!” It’s not your money!!!! Good God, this is going to be one of those magic minutes where one minute lasts for 10 minutes when the Speaker is up.
Caught a little of this. Was racking my brains trying to figure out how a Senator (Levin) could be running the debate in the House - come to find out there’s not one but two of these rat bastards - one each in the House and Senate and they’re brothers. As if one weren’t enough!
THere are no tax cuts. They are preventing tax increases.
They are not paying “benefits” to anybody. They are letting people keep their money.
I don’t think she knows what would create jobs — obviously whatever they’ve done the past two years hasn’t worked.
She is really proud about how the democrats want 155 million people to steal the money from 6000 people.
I can’t figure out if she supports the bill or not.....
Hahahahaha.... needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Mr. Spock, Wrath of Khan.
I can guarantee you that Bill Gates will not be paying 45%, or 35%, of his wealth to the government when he dies.
Nobody who is the “wealthiest” pay this tax. The tax is paid by people whose “wealth” is tied up in businesses that would have to be liquidated.
Well, there goes one of the grand Communists of our time.
If they increased taxes on these 6,600 people, they wouldn’t collect not even .5 % more from the group. They declare less income and use shelters to not pay. Most would come from couples earning just $ 250,000 between the two of them.
Class warfare again and again. Only 3 out of 100 will pay estate tax, so that’s why we need to take more money from people who built something to pass on, after paying taxing all their lives.
Let them raise everyone’s taxes and see how their stupid voters feel. Then in Jan the GOP can put them all back in place without all the pork in here.
Obama a job creator, nearly 10 % unemployment, what was it when he took over 6 %
Oh those greedy wall street people, blah , blah, blah.
Problem is, American believe this crap when the MSM and bitches like this keep going after those nasty, greedy, rich way.
If there is a God please strike her dead as she spits this sh*t out of her foul, surgically enhanced mouth.
The death tax is wrong, it’s simply wrong. You work your whole life, build a little pile of cash, you want to pass it on to your family, but instead, a bunch of strangers need to be paid off first? How is that fair? What gives them the right to my money? They got their cut every step of the way while I was building my little pile. Now I die, and they want yet another cut, and not a small one either.
Schakowsky (D) from IL, repeating that lie about the Walton’s paying this estate tax. You’re right, Sam Walton ain’t paying 45% on his estate....
Wal*Mart, Mars candy, Campbell’s soup... They all create jobs and build our economy. Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, and Jean Shakowsky don’t do anyting for our economy, except tear it down.
Exactly, if I used the word tax cut, I apologize, of course it’s a bill to increase taxes or leave them where they are
Oh no just as I started the typing, the freak Frank, maybe more responsible than anyone else for the mortgage debt mess. He threatened to sue Citibank when they want to raise the qualifications for mortgages, he made sure banks, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac & mortgage companies kept giving 125 % of the home value to people with no proof even of a job.

All taxes are wrong! Import duties are perhaps the least bad, and property taxes are the worst. I don’t need money when I’m dead, so I think the inheritance tax is not as bad as the income or sales tax. If it was up to me I’d lower the income and sales taxes before I lowered the inheritance tax.
...would allow tax cuts for all income levels to continue for two years and extend unemployment insurance benefits for jobless Americans for 13 months...
Can’t these aholes go to bed?
Well, I hate the death tax, because it’s double taxation. The government already got its cut, then you die, and they want 55% of your money??? 55%???? Who the hell gives them the right?
Steny Hoyer (D-MD): “We’ve just come through a wrenching election.”
You think that one was bad? Wait until the next one.
