Poor Julie must be heartbroken. I understand they really loved each other.
RIP Mr. Edwards.

Skin Deep was an underappreciated masterpiece. For lovers of alcoholic cinema, I highly recommend it. R.I.P., Blake.

Poor Julie must be heartbroken. I understand they really loved each other. One of the more "real" hollywood couples, from what I've read.
What a great talent he was. He created some truly iconic contributions to popular culture.

Another really great Blake Edwards movie (a rare serious one for this director) is EXPERIMENT IN TERROR with Glenn Ford, Lee Remick and Ross Martin.

Most movies being made today will never stand the test of time.
Most of them are a complete waste of time and money.
The actors of today cannot hold a candle to those of the Golden Age of Cinema.
Neither can the directors and writers.
The state of Hollywood and the cinema in general is in a period of decline and it is getting worse, not better.
When Hollywood loses its imagination, concentrates on remakes and sequels, it is very telling indeed.
I will not weep when Hollywood dies.

Blake Edwards made a huge contribution to comedy and Pink Panther was my all time favorite (that’s where I got my screen name).

Most movies made back then haven’t stood the test of time either. We only remember the peaks.
