Fear Paralyzes the Republicans; Reid and Pelosi Terrorize the Town

RUSH: The editors at the Wall Street Journal have a little blurb here today about what Harry Reid's trying to do. They're calling it: "Harry Reid's Holiday Jam -- What the Senate wants to pass while you're not paying attention. In the famous formulation often attributed to George Washington, the U.S. Senate is the saucer designed to cool the drink before it becomes law," let all the heat get out of the legislation so that reason and discourse can take place, so that the rash of emotions doesn't dictate legislation that's passed.

This can be summed up in one sentence:

Republicans leaders are wimps (wish I could use a stronger word here), and the democrat leaders are not.

They're either wimps or poseurs.

I'm beginning to think its the latter.

This is so true, fear rules the day.

This is the one thing that Glen Beck says that I think is genus. How he always says “No Fear” etc.... that is pointed right at these Republicans that want to hide under their desk and not do their job.

It's like pro wrestling. Lots of posing and shouting in the ring with an occasional hit to the back of the head with a folding chair, but both the "good guys" and the "bad guys" share the same locker room and get their checks from the same boss.

Sieg Heil, Nancy, Harry, 0ba-Soros!

Sieg.......

Sieg.......

Sieg Heil!

Obamaland hypnotizes all,
O’er each freedom in the world,
We require domination,
We kneel together in servitude.
From th’Eastern Shores to the Western
From the Yukon to the Baja -
Obamaland hypnotizes all
O’er each freedom in the world.

Obama thugs, Obama loyalty,
Obama beer. Obama song,
Shall infect in the world,
Their angry mafia
Demands th’ignoble deeds:
Age-defined lives.
Obama thugs, Obama loyalty,
Obama beer. Obama song.

One form, one fiat—serfdom
For the Obamination Lands
Let’s dictate, manufacture chaos
Right on cue, with fists and fights!
Caprice, fiat and true serfdom
Are th’objective for each class
Infects by stealth, by lies, by jackboots
Praised in Obamination Lands.

Obamaland hypnotizes all,
In destruction all the more.
In seditious organizing can hate
Show extreme subterfuge.
And so treason should wipe out
Free generations’ history:
Obamaland hypnotizes all,
In destruction all the more.

The battle for power rages in Washington....how many republicans are willing to pay the price for freedom by standing against this foe? We shall see now....

They're either wimps or poseurs.

"Senator, the inescapable conclusion is that you fall into one of four categories: a coward, a liar, an imbecile, or any combination of the three. Which of them you wish to be remembered as is immaterial to me."

I think that you are going to be surprised at what the Republican congress does to the Democrats. We are going to have a one party system.

Reckless generalization. Of course there are differences, and important ones. It’s just that it takes courage to translate theory into action, and that is what is in short supply. The trick to courage is that the dreaded confrontation is seldom as bad as one’s fears predict. Fear takes root in the imagination and makes the bogeymen more powerful than they really are. Press forward a little, and the imaginary giants will shrink and falter. And if our chosen leaders lack sufficient courage of their own, we must loan them some of ours and press them forward despite themselves.

I used to believe like you do... but then I opened my eyes. We can agree to disagree but that doesn't not change the fact that amongst the LEADERSHIP... there is NO difference... none... they talk out of one side of their mouths and vote out of the other... just like "their" candidate for 2012... romney.

The real differance is we know, and them Democrats know they are ALL KNOWN LIARS, CHEATS, and POWER hungry, they make no bones about it and are proud of themselves for doing so.

The Republicans "PLAY" AT BEING CONSERVATIVES, they have developed a GRAND method of pretending to be one of us, all the while VOTING with the Democrats on all things they indeed want themselves.

They come out and give us all a GREAT speech on being against something, we all rally behind them with a YEA, good for you Republican Congressman, you ought to run for President, Then they double cross us. They are laughing themselves silly at this farce and proud of it. I think they must agree to take turns on this, so that it does not fall on just one person to look like the fool.

Look what is happening just now. INHOFE comes out and attempts to draw attention to the Wikeleaks and OBAMA/CIA, trying to make a scandal about that, YET, INHOFE wants to keep all the EARMARKS. Don't look here, look over there, see how I am trying to protect you?

Same with the Pandering of McCain on the Spending Bill. There are others that I can't remember just now, but they are attempting to draw attention away from this Spending Bill.

These Republicans have mastered the art of deception better than any Democrat ever could.

They are all our enemies, and the OLD will RETRAIN the new members to think RIGHT.

I am the scaredest I have been in over a year, I can not understand for the life of me WHY the Republicans just don't filibuster everything until the new congress is sworn in.

Thank you for your concern, but my eyes are already open, in part because I know and work with some these people, on both sides, and I’m telling you your generalization is just not factually true. The left (Democrats and other tagalongs) is institutionally committed to the deconstruction of Western Civilization. The right (Republicans and other tagalongs) produced and can again produce a Ronald Reagan, because they are institutionally committed to the survival of Western Civilization.

If you were right, we would be much further along the road to destruction than we presently are. There would be zero resistance. But there *is* resistance, there is friction grating against the push of the left. I used to believe as you did. That’s why I once aligned myself with a third party. No longer. The cure is to get into the trenches and join the fight. It will give you a better sense of who you’d want for a foxhole buddy. There are real differences between the parties, they should be exploited to our advantage, and ignoring them will cost us allies and resources we desperately need to win this fight.

“If you were right, we would be much further along the road to destruction than we presently are.”

That shows how wrong you are... this nation stands on the cusp of failure and destruction... we are there... the time is now or never.

Please don’t take this wrong, but if you really think this situation we are in is the worst it can get, you have a serious deficit both of imaginative power and historical knowledge. There are those who have gone before us whose circumstances and prospects with respect to liberty have been far worse than ours, and yet they endured. For you the glass is half-empty; for me it is half-full. Both perspectives are honest, but only one generates the kind of energy needed to keep going during the dark times.

Pessimism and defeatism are our worst enemies, far more dangerous than anything Reid or Obama or Pelosi can throw at us, because they let a finite difficulty block our view of the larger good that remains, and disable us from using it. I sympathize with you, because I have close family members who take your position and with whom this is a daily discussion for me. But your facts remain incomplete at best. You need to expand your imagination and see that things could be far worse, and that there really are ways things can get better, that there really are people in political office who are fighting for what we believe in, who truly do care about our liberty. Only they would never have entered the battle had they believed as you do. What is your answer? To go hide on an island somewhere? There are people who are doing just that.

But if we are here, if we stay and fight for what is rightfully ours, do we really want to distain the aid and cooperation of those who are our friends, simply because of the damage to the Republican brand? I think that is a foolish surrender to the mind games of our enemy. The left would love nothing better than to have everyone believe as you do, to throw up despairing hands and run to false shelters, like powerless third parties or other ineffective solutions. We have to take what we have and make it work.

You say now or never, and you may be right, but now or never what? What does the fight look like to you if it doesn’t include conservatives who are already in positions of influence, predominantly Republicans? No, there’s not enough time to start from scratch, or wait for the perfect to displace the useful. If now is the time, then we are the people, all of us, warts and all, whose charge it is to set this right. I say we keep our friends and defeat our enemies. Anything less is just shadow boxing.

Considering the heights we've fallen from, and the speed at which we continue to fall, it's amazing we're still alive.

I have explained things to you that most on Free Republic understand... I have tried to help you to see things as they are. You seem to be hoping for a miracle... maybe GOD will grant us one... but until then... I will fight our enemies as hard as I can... and an “R” behind a name does not exempt that status. You had better prepare for the worst... for both you and your family. Rush, Levin, Beck and most other Conservative thinkers believe we live in perilous times... Beck thinks collapse in imminent.

You are most welcome to hold whatever opinion you would like to hold... you can think that I am crazy... but I have a long track record of being correct... much like Rush.

The republican leadership is not your friend... they do not care about anything but their own power and fortune. Even Pence has stated that our leadership is cutting deals that are not only bad for our economy but bad for the future of this Nation.

We are not a permanent fixture in the world. All great empires have fallen for the exact same reasons we are failing today. I intend to do something about it if I can and I no longer trust anyone in government leadership... in either party. Why should I? They lie to us daily.

Free Republic is not a republican community... we are a Conservative community... want to know why Jimbo made it that way? Because the republicans do not represent Conservatism enough to deserve that kind of monopoly on this site. Trust is earned... not given. The republican leadership have destroyed the trust of most Americans. Gallup found Congress at 13% approval... but republicans are at 7% approval. There is a reason for that... and that is exactly what you refuse to see.
