"Both parents must be citizens at the time of birth with a waiver for persons who were alive at the time of the Constitution being written."

The Constitution does not say that.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The Constitution doesn't define the word “is” either.

Fundamentally our experiment in self-rule depends upon the honesty and good will of the citizens dedicated to making it work.

The Constitution could be the size of the IRS code, with every possible term define in tightest legal language possible, and evil will still leak through. The most carefully crafted laws will **NEVER** corral evil.

I was not quoting the Constitution as in that sentence is in there.

It was well understood what “natural born” meant and only because of intentional obtuseness in the media, political interested parties, and now even in the FReeper community is the issue anything beyond moot.
