The Obamacare defense will be that the Federal government can tax you more than others for not doing something they want you to, just as they tax you less for doing what they want you to, with tax credits.
The best part of this decision is it keeps the most unpopular part of Obama-care in the news and in voters minds. People HATE laws that cost them money, and they love laws that give them money (or appear to) like the mandates on insurance companies.
alls i can say is that they better hurry up and collect the guns, the pushback might be a bitch...
This kind of stuff is mind-blowing. They know people can’t fight this so they cram it down our throats.
Government can “ordering people to buy particular products” if they can order us to buy an 0bamaCare approved Insurance Policy.
If 0bamaCare stands, then next, the Government will order us to buy cabbage, and outlaw meat.
Why not?
Obama can go on TV and give an emotional pitch for why the government needs your personal firearms and then pass a gun tax of 10K per gun per year to ‘reduce the deficit’.
If Obama came up with a good reason, like he needs your guns to arm a national militia(needed to make sure you pay your Obama-care tax) , you would give yours up right?
Well said...Way too many of the jerks representing us don’t know the difference between govern vs rule, and probably don’t care.
Anyone comes for me or my guns, they get shot.

Can’t you all just feel it? We’re on a verge of a revolution. We don’t know what it will be, but it’s there, ready for us to embrace it.
I think you may be right, we’ve been being pushed and this lame duck fiasco could turn out to be the final straw.
I don’t think this lame duck is the trigger. But, don’t you feel on the edge? Don’t you think, what more will they try? I’m prepared, and ready to engage. Most of us are. What will be the trigger? Right now, with this senate and lame duck, our hands are tied. But how much more will we take? We’re at the edge. There will be a trigger, it’ll be interesting what that trigger is. We can all speculate, but no one predicted the tea party. It just happened. I believe the revolt will be organic and just happen. Something will be the final straw. And we’re right there. I believe, if business as usual continues, we’ll have a revolt. What will that final straw be?
My biggest worry is, our country divided and the radicals trying to put us out, and the terrorists are capitalizing on this. Both are toxic. The democrats did this to us. Democrats to be outlawed.
Yes, I feel more and more on the edge. I suppose it’s because of the helplessness of the last couple years. The jerk in the WH, pelosi and reid and the thugs that carry their water ignore not only us but many of their own. All of them ignore the will of the people and the LAW in many cases.
You’re probably right in saying this lame duck session won’t be the trigger but if the Rats succeed in just half of what they’re trying to shove down our throats before January it will magnify that helpless feeling greatly. I guess I’m impatient in not wanting to wait another two years to get some semblance of order back in Washington, hopefully our new House can shut down the Rat criminals until 2012.
My fear is our newly elected will be co-opted. I don’t see it, but I don’t know the allure of the DC club. I am hopeful they’ll say FU. But, will they fall prey to them?
My opinion is, we’ve given them this chance. We’re willing to see what they do. If they fail to uphold the will of the people, all bets are off. If they continue to compromise with rinos and libs, we the people are going to have to change our tactics.
We are at the final ‘give you a chance to get it right’ phase. I know everyone in my circle are willing to fight. I don’t know if the GOP realizes how pissed we are. My reps, state and local are conservative, so it’s hard for me to judge the pulse of the rest of the states and countries.
hehehe...the first one is expensive, after that, the rest are ‘freebies’ if ya get my drift, and if i actually had any guns...already sold em all to buy gas to get to work to pay the garbage bill and prop tax...and buy a couople cans of alpo for the chirun...i know i should buy generic dog food, but hey, they need good food to do jumping jacks to keep from freezin to death...
I dont know where the breakin point will be, but it surely aint far for some...
I know that this mandate aspect is good political strategy to exploit because I preach politics too, but Obama-care is another freebee that will blow up eventually, just like this current Obama/RINO tax deal.
