" Too bad education and wisdom are two completely separate things. D.C. could use a lot more of the latter. Lots of educated idiots everywhere nowadays. "
Wisdom can't be bought with a price, it must be searched out and found, and in the case of the liberals, they hide and run from it...
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

People talk about government intrusion, but, yet, most of the high paying jobs are in government.

Correction:
They should have added Greediest but maybe the Census Bureau doesnt measure greed of the leftist rich liberals....
Have we heard just once of the media talking about the super wealthy Hollywood elitist of being greedy ? not paying their fair share of taxes ?

The headline says “Washington area” not Washington, DC. The wealthy areas are in Northern Virginia and suburban Maryland not DC.
It’s a wealth that is distributed among LOTS of folks at the high end of middle class rather than concentrated in super wealthy and everyone else on the low end, i.e., LA. The wealthiest folks that I know of who live in the area (other than say Theresa Kerry who ‘maintains a hone’ here are the reclusive Mars Brothers of M&M fame (not govt).
Both MD and VA have 20 mile stretches of road that have tech lab after tech lab after tech lab. You know, Ph.D’s doing research and development. They work with NASA, NIH, DOD, etc ...and those folks, unlike our elected officials, DO make our lives better in any number of untold ways.

*Most educated in what subject, how to ruin a great country? An MBA in corruption? A PhD in lying & embezzlement?*
Makes you wonder if any of them cheated to get through college?
....Nah, theyre all politicians, the AGW crowd will tell you that politicians are always right 100% of the time and we should trust them always-unless the politician is George Bush, or if they disagree with them.

“Stay calm, Citizens. There is nothing to see here. Do not worry. Get back to work, pay your taxes and shut up. Stay calm, Citizens.”
Oh, and also.....if you don’t mind would you please work a little faster. We’re falling behind on our payments and, well, you wouldn’t want all the good folks in the DC area to lose their boats, would you?
If you come for our retirement plans, we’ll send the various federal police services out to take your guns so that when we take your retirement plans there will be no misunderstandings. Let’s not have any of that!
Now, let’s get back to work, shall you?

Most educated probably means the most number of years in school, not intelligence.. I think it's based on the number of affirmative action hires with masters in Social work.

My dad works in D.C..
He too calls it “New Rome”.
I call it “Nova Roma”, New Rome in latin.
I like that because the areas of Virginia that are the ‘burbs of D.C. are called NoVa (Northern Virginia).
