You can post transcripts of all the “gotcha” interviews you want, but the only thing that will really answer the question of where Governor Palin stands on the subject of illegal immigration, is her own policy position paper.

She has stated over and over again in interviews that she is opposed to illegal immigration, that she wants the border secured, and for all of the illegals to follow the rules of our country, but it’s all too easy for a person to be imprecise in these fast-paced interviews, or to leave out key parts of one’s position on an issue.

Some people (like you) will seize on these informal statements to try to nail a politician to the floor, when in fact these statements aren’t their official positions.

As I told another poster, Governor Palin will put out a compilation of her policy positions at some point. They will be detailed and extensive. That’s the point where we can really have a discussion about where she stands on things.

Those interviews were not gotcha interviews, the last one was on Fox News with Greta. And they weren't informal statements, and they're on the record. It's interesting that you are engaging in the same word games of the Left and RINOs on her behalf. She's consistently supported a path to citizenship for illegals (amnesty) over the last 2+ plus years and her position hasn't changed. If she does change her position, she's a flip flopper or just has "principles" when it suits her, which would be a huge shame.

My suggestion to you and her other supporters is that you just admit that you support her non-conservative positions like this one, or you simply hold her to the same standard that you would any other potential candidate.
