Said Charles Krauthammer last night on Fox News,JULY, 8, 2009
Now, as to Palin, I agree entirely with what Mara said. She is she has star power without any doubt. She has an extremely devoted following. But she is not a serious candidate for the presidency.
She had to go home and study and spend a lot of time on issues in which she was not adept last year, and she hasn't. She has to stop speaking in clichés and platitudes. It won't work.
It could work for eight weeks if you're the number two candidate, as she was last year. But even so, she got singed a lot in that campaign. You cannot sustain a campaign of platitudes and clichés over a year and a half if you're running for the presidency.
I rest my case, counselor, Charles. You're a good guy most of the time, but you need to "study-up" on Sarah Palin. She's come a long way, baby, and you're unaware.
It's good to leave that Beltway now and then...lol.

He just repeats the same stuff over and over again. He’s boring. I rarely watch him. He is not a conservative in any meaningful sense.
The fact that she is a happy person with a great life does not make her stupid or un-serious any more than Krauthammer’s perpetually dour mood makes him a serious thinker. Certainly, Reagan was a perpetual optimist with a good sense of humor, which was often mistaken by his Establishment enemies (like Krauthammer and Kissinger and Nixon) for stupidity.
I have examined a lot of Kraut’s pompous pronouncements over the years and, when they are scrutinized, there is generally less there than meets the eye.
